Tim's bakery has been around since I was a kid and they were always such a friendly light to see in the earliest of mornings when it's still dark outside. The fresh smell of donuts penetrate your car walls as you drive by you can't help but notice them. Even when you walk by they have a window for you to peak in and see them working on the donuts and the whole creative process! When you walk in they have a few tables set out for you to sit at and they do their darndest to get everyone in and out as quickly as they can while still being accommodating and friendly to their customers. Their prices are fair and great for the quality and amount of donuts you get. Highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't. Every local around here will tell you to stop by. Their glazed donuts are EVERYTHING! I don't go all the time cause I don't want to gain weight but when I do I get at least 2 glazed and one glazed with cream cheese in the middle... whewwww! Better than longs bakery to me. Just my opinion. read more

Damn good. Enough said. the lines wrapped around the building don't lie. If you're looking for something for yourself the donut holes are great. This place runs out of donuts pretty fast. They literally just fly off the shelves so make sure to be there early. If you're there by 9 AM, even on a weekday, don't expect a lot of selection and there's a line. Tim's probably has the best donut holes in the city. The regular glazed bite, it will melt in your mouth. Muffins are soft, fluffy, smooth. Cake donuts are absolutely my favorite with a good cup of coffee. I have never in 15 years eaten a bad Tim's donut. You have to go. Right in my home town it is the best mom and pop family run donut shop. I am so grateful for their service. Hands down, all donuts here are the best I have ever tasted. Even if I ever moved I would drive back to this donut store specifically. But fair warning you might have to wait in a long line out the door, so dress appropriately. The line will always move quickly, except when their is first time customers/cute children. Average donuts. I do not understand 'line out the door' this place gets on the weekends. As a point of reference I love Donut Shop on Keystone, Pana on 96th, and find Rise n Roll doughnuts tasty as well. We live quite close to Tim's and have never gone back after our first visit. If you desire a sweet treat to start off your day then get up early. Nothing better than a warm twist to start off your day at 5am. They are a first come first serve. They start their day off early and when they are sold out they are done for the day. Don't expect to go in the afternoon to pick up something for the next day. This is an iconic donut bakery in the heart of McCordsville. It opens at like 5:30am and closes at like 11am. They literally have the best donuts around. There is typically a line because all the locals love this place. There is a little bit of seating, however take out is the way to go. We love the blueberry fritters, Tiger Tales, Long Johns, Butterflies, donut holes and regular yeast donuts. What's best is when they come right out of the drier as the almost melt in you mouth.... A little secret that I did not find out till recently is that you can call in you order the day before with a pickup time and get fresh donuts of your choice. read more

(I understand that it's just merely donuts, but here is my experience....) I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED in Tim's Bakery. I arrived at precisely 10:40, which is 20 minute before they close. I went to order and they did not have a lot of donuts on the line. I asked if they had any yeast donuts, the employee stated they did not have anymore donuts. So I just settled for the four or five donut holes that was left. The DISAPPOINT was as I was walking out I saw more donuts in the back on the racks and some frying in the fryer! SO......I get back to the car and my wife was like this is it? So she went in just to see if the story would change. (I'm pretty passive when it comes to things like this). She comes out with the same story and saw the same thing (Donuts in the back and yeast donuts in the fryer). And she also said that the employee act as if "oh well, this is all we have take it or just leave". On top of everything else as we were leaving the parking lot it was just 10:50 a couple other costumers pulled up were approaching the establishment and the lobby lights immediately went off. My wife look at me like, WTF!!! (Mind you, there was still a few cake donuts as well as a few pastries under the counter. This was my first experience at Tim's Bakery and the last soley on poor customer service. The donuts holes were pretty good, but in my honest opinion they're not better than "Long's Donuts", but anyway I won't be going there EVER AGAIN!!! read more

Downside is the line and that they sell Quickly but it moves pretty fast and is worth the wait. So this place is family owned and operated! That what makes the donuts taste so great! I will warn you! You must come in before the sun come up! Because I promised you if you come in after 9am they are most likely out of everything! Also me a a few of my co-works have had so many issues trying to place big orders for the office! We leave voicemails and no one gets back to us until the day of, if that! My 3 year old is obsessed with donuts so I made the 15 minute drive to Tim's Bakery because I had heard so many good things from friends in the area. I was expecting a long line so I made sure to get up at 6am and get there before everything was gone because I wanted a good range of donuts. I wasn't disappointed. Tim's was really easy to find with just enough parking. As soon as I pulled up I saw 4 gentlemen making fresh, hot donuts. Great first sign! There were only 3 people in front of me and 2 of them just ordering for themselves. The man in front of me though got a big box of donuts and started clearing out the donut shelves! I was starting to get nervous because he was taking the ones I had my eyes on! Thank goodness as soon as he was done ordering someone came and filled the case right back up. *whew* I asked for a small box and went for 2 plain sprinkled, unfilled long John, 2 filled long johns, blueberry fritter, twist donut, 2 glazed, and a buttermilk. I had to have one on the way home and opted for the twist. It was AMAZING! Each bite melted in my mouth and I couldn't stop eating it.
