This is a used bookstore that is very reasonably prices at $3 for paperbacks and $5 for hardbacks with a few other prices in between. They do game nights and have board games spread throughout the store. I really enjoyed having D20 die to figure out a drink because I happen to be very indecisive when there are lots of choices. We ended up a red wedding (17) and a stygian jungle night (18). Both were really good and my friend and I cannot wait to stop at this store again when we are back in town!

I walked into this beautiful shop and immediately felt peaceful and at home. The husband-wife owner duo is divine. We know each other now since I come in often, and there's nothing better than being greeted with a friendly and helpful smile. Imagine incense, Palo Santo, California sage, crystals, stones, oracle decks and informational tools, beautiful handmade jewelry, essential oils, divination candles, dream catchers, etc... This place is heaven for me! It's my only go-to in the Quad City area for these items. Especially helpful around the New/Full Moons + Solar/Lunar Eclipses. Be sure to say hi to the owners when you come in, as they will happily engage in friendly conversation and do whatever they can to help you find what you're looking for. It's just my nickname for this really cool bookstore (an acronym and making up cutesy slang for things- bless my heart). Bookstores seem to be passé since most use devices to read or go online. A lot of them seem to be a dying species- Wah! Something can be said browsing around leisurely and finding gems among the stacks. Then taking your find home and spending a few hours in that world. The store has great variety of books and print publications. There's an attached coffee shop. Free parking. One thing you might not expect is theres a lot of unique and silly gifts and merchandise. You know pens that have buttons that play sound clips from hit tv shows or comedy movies. Or bobble head dolls. Quirky magnets. Gag gifts. I liked tv show themed stuff. Fun place. BAM! BAM! BAM!

Cheaper than new - obviously. But a new book at $12.99 is selling for like $8.99. Better to shop goodwill bins as books are some of the last affordable things at thrift stores. As a seller I took $70 for a collection of about 200 quality dvds. sold individually on eBay or Amazon if I had the time probably $500-1000. Same with the books. I have gotten $50 for a case of 100/150 best selling hardbacks. You never know as one time I brought in quality mint condition coffee table books - my offer for the lot of 50... $2. So I don't know what the deal is but the worst thing is they don't return your books. Some they take and will throw away or donate because the don't want to offend. I wish I had the option to take the books they knew they were gonna trash. All in all, they are only game in town u nless you want to do this full time. And I see them taking advantage. But that's our America. Read they are private family owned. Interesting.

Beautifully laid out bookstore hosting a forward thinking selection of charged topics, mostly…read morebiased in a predictable direction, what we expected; the main room clean and inviting for the open mind. Got myself tickled surprised stumbling upon a new comic book styled adaptation of The Hobbit, didn't purchase, now I regret even for a pricer new edition. Very much there had been more celebration of literature's full magic, iconic authors, celebrated series, unique publishers, instead of just a couple main topics. Noticed the solo staff quietly holding down the side room at the back corner checkout, oddly not near the entry. The second oddity was a bewildering array of invisible god replacements: fortune telling, card reading, and general assortment of materials bent on using the star charts and crystal as religion. Always amusing to see attempts made to replace a simple prayer and book based church, that's remained unaltered for four thousand years, the endless chaos of frantic scrabbling at palm lines, tea leaves, and incense doesn't go along with the rest of the progressive socially cared for collection here. However I understand how quickly the mind starts to make up its own sense of self with the easiest options at hand not necessarily the ones that will last or prove worthwhile.

The selection is wonderfully curated, and the store has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay for hours. The owner is absolutely fantastic--knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly accommodating.
