In my opinion the best place in Wadebridge…read more This is fantastic coffee shop and deli in the tourist town of Wadebridge, Cornwall. It's run by a passionate couple Hugo and Sarah who know their food and drink Hugo won the 2008 UK Barista Championship and represented the UK in the World Barista Championship. He is a dedicated and passionate barista and a great inspiration to the coffee industry! Sarah is a passionate foodie with an almost unending knowledge of cheese, olives and speciality cold meats. I'm sure she used to run some of Rick Stein's shops in Padstow! It's hard to go in to the deli and not come out clutching freshly baked bread, olives, coffee beans and some of her signature fig oil salad dressing! My recomendation: a Flat White and a fresh brownie from the cafe then a browse around the deli. Be very quick though because this place is busy all year round, you'll probably find it hard to get a seat! http://www.relishwadebridge.co.uk/

The coffee shop is constantly a busy bustling place at all times of the day. We first went on the off chance to get out a rainstorm, then visited again three more times in the next few days. Milkshakes made with fresh fruit and award winning coffee tempt you back, as does the enthusiasm of the staff. For me the real highlights were a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich for breakfast, and a shared lunch of a warm mushroom and brie sandwich. Both were packed with flavour. The coffee shop has a modern feel, with posters showcasing the owners participation in Barista championships around the world.

While the flavor profile did not match my tastebuds this day, the latte was superb and the milk held until the last drop. Which signals mad skills and a dedication to pulling a cup that the barista would be proud to serve in a completion. I like that. Had a slice of banana bread. Tasty. The wife had a cortado. Never got a sip. So I am certain it was good as well. I loved how asking a question about the beans of the day evoked a conversation...an actual conversation about the origins and intents of the beans they sell. It matters. Single origin and a relationship to the grower. How cool is that? Way cool. Worth the trip to Falmouth to find...but hurry up. They close at 3pm.

I have a soft spot for Panamanian coffee, as my parents lived there for a few years, but I think any objective taster would agree that this was good stuff. Anyway: perfectly pulled espresso, great temperature (hot, not warm), perfect amount of milk steamed just right. And a cute space in a good location, friendly and laid-back barista, and wonderful-smelling bags of coffee all around the shop. Oh, and a bottle of tap water provided on the table! The only problem with this place is that it's in Falmouth instead of London, so I won't visit as often as I'd like.

Cannot believe how good the food was!…read more I'm in Rock on business for a few weeks, so me and a colleague are doing the rounds and trying out all the local bars, pubs and restaurants, and this place is by far the best. The food was extremely well priced for the quality, and was presented very professionally. We both has the Warne's Slider Burgers and they are possibly the best I have ever eaten. It's hidden round the back of the cinema in Wadebridge, so if you're in that neck of the woods you absolutely, must, most definitely go there. Also, have the Key Lime Pie for desert. You won't regret it.

Inside there are few tables downstairs adjacent to the well-stocked bar, as well as sizeable area upstairs. We sat downstairs on the four occasions we visited, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. The menu has a varied selection of dishes, from steaks and burgers, to salads and pasta. Obviously visiting on so many occasions, between us we tried a wide variety of the dishes, not a bad one amongst them, but the Sea Bass with asparagus, tomatoes and warm crab mashed potato was an absolute triumph! The desserts were equally impressive, with the ever present staples of Sticky Toffee pudding and Chocolate Brownie sundaes, wonderful. Again the pick of the dishes for me was the Lemon Posset with warm blueberry compote, served in a Kilner Jar, with Honeycomb Ice Cream, a heavenly dessert. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, food is rarely this good!
