As a disabled Vietnam veteran, I purchased a vehicle from Mr. Verner, based solely on his word that the car was a good investment and mechanically sound for $9500 when the CARFAX report looked clean and Mr. Verner gave me his assurances; yet within a day of my purchasing the car and taking delivery, a licensed mechanic detected problems requiring $8200 work replacing cam and lifters. I immediately requested a refund of my money and Mr. Verner refused. My advice to other buyers? Mr. Verner apparently doesn't concern himself over, depend upon, nor expect repeat business so be smart and shop elsewhere for your used cars.
