Wifey and I came here for a cousin's destination wedding in Darby. we didn't quite know what to expect in rural Montana, but it was awesome. The lodge is a family affair and the owners were really nice. The view from the lodge overlooks the valley, which is beautiful country. In the morning there was a deer that was hangin' out just outside the window. We didn't have a chance to take advantage of all the amenities (hot tub, outdoor fire area, etc.), but if we ever go back it'll be the place we stay. read more

Great find! While on a motorcycle trip in the area, a mechanical breakdown forced us to stay in Darby. Searching for places last-second is never fun, and even worse when it's on the weekend and there are a ton of events nearby. Luckily, we got the last rooms here - and at a reasonable rate. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. The hot tub overlooked the valley and the sunset was amazing as it lit up the hills. The beds were super comfy and the rooms very clean and cozy. In the morning we saw turkey and deer. My only regret was not being able to throw a line into the little pond out back. The B&B part is a bit misleading, as they do not serve food. But there is a fridge in every room, and plenty of restaurants in nearby Darby. I consider it very lucky that we were able to stay in this place and would actually seek it out again. read more

Beautiful lodge overlooking the Bitterroot Valley. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. There is a hot tub overlooking the valley and a fire pit too. Very quiet and secluded yet only a short 6 minute drive to Darby. The caretaker was extremely helpful and friendly. She provided us with yogurt and muffins for breakfast. The room has a small fridge with water and juice. It also has a small coffee bar. The room is small but clean and comfy. Definitely will not be disappointed by stopping here. You are only an hour from Missoula yet so much better than staying at a chain motel or hotel. This is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. read more

Wonderful location in the Bitterroot Valley! This is my second visit to this mountain top lodge above Darby. We requested the same, quiet, log cabin with private outdoor hot tub overlooking the valley. Awe inspiring to sit and view the valley from the porch swing and hot tub.Tom is very friendly and accommodating. I would consider holding a birthday, anniversary, or wedding party here besides returning for my own individual visits. read more
