Everyone here is super friendly. They helped me out in selecting a gun. They also helped my girlfriend as well. We both love this place.

I wish I remember the gentleman who looked at the issue, and got it to go together for me. He was kind enough to explain what happened and how to prevent it in the future. Asked him what I owed him and he stated nothing. I was ready to pay at least $20.00 for the fix. This was a perfect example of the caring, quality attention you get at Big Boys. I enjoy shooting there and will continue to do so. All the employees there are friendly and helpful. The range is nicer than their competition and the target system has digital yardage indicators on the switch box for extending and retrieving the targets.

I had called about the possibility of selling a gun, or trading it in. When the man heard what I had, he was very excited and wanted me to bring it in. In fact he said, "we would really like to see that thing come through our doors...we would have a really good offer..." now I had explained in detail what I had, and so he was not at all ignorant of what I would be bringing. I explained it was a long drive and I didn't want to waste the drive or the time for just a dumb offer. And he reaffirmed again that he couldn't give me a price over the phone, but that the offer for my piece would be very good and fair. I made the long trip from north of Edmond all the way to big boys guns. They looked at, seemed to love it, and then explained they would have to pass...wouldn't even make an offer. The guy then tried to figure out who talked to me when I explained my side, but still they made no offer. Can't say the guys were jerks or anything like that, but sadly a very disappointing business model.

My late grandfather was a white man, and he never treated me as anything less than HIS. That is why this experience hurt me so deeply. More than anything, I am disappointed and saddened. I cried on the ride home. My husband and I came into this business on Saturday and purchased two firearms totaling $435. Mike, informed me that my background check had not come back yet and that I would have to wait, even though we were initially told I would not have to. The following Monday, we called to check on the status because no one had called us to let us know whether the firearms were ready for pickup. We came by each day until Wednesday before 7 PM, only to find the store closed. We had called ahead because I do not get off work until 6 PM & were told they are a private company & can close whenever they feel like closing.   When we arrived to pick up the firearms, the owner, Mike, who I understand is a retired police officer, told us he had "bad news." He then accused my husband and me of attempting a "straw purchase" and suggested we were planning to do something illegal with the firearms. He also threatened that we could face serious federal time. I want to be very clear: I have never been in trouble in my life. My family has been a staple in Midwest City for over 50 years. My husband is from Miami and recently moved here because of me. Neither of us are felons, and we did not do anything illegal. The reason we were purchasing the firearms was for protection. I have Lupus and several other health issues, and there have been strange people knocking on our door while I was home alone. My husband did not want me to be at home underprotected. He is a gun enthusiast and an NRA member, and he was excited to take me to the range and teach me how to safely use my own firearms -- one for home protection and one to keep with me. We explained the situation, who we are, that we are not criminals but hardworking, God fearing people to Mike, and after everything, he said he still wanted to earn our business. I told him plainly that we would not be returning because of how poorly we had been treated. I understand that people of all races and backgrounds do wrong every day. However, that is not a valid reason to judge hardworking, law-abiding people based on assumptions, prejudice, or preconceived ideas. I noticed there are not many Black people in the reviews, and after this experience, I understand why there were none in the store. I also now understand why several of my family members, including my white brother-in-law, who is also a gun enthusiast, told me not to come here. Mike did refund our money by writing a check, but the damage from the experience and the mistreatment cannot be undone.  The feelings he left us with have no tangible or financial justification or rectification.   I will continue to pray for people like him, but I will also be honest about my experience. I will be sharing the truth with others, including people connected to my husband's gun safety and training class, as well as my online community.  We had planned to bring others in to make purchases & for my husband to teach them how to safely use them.   No customer should be treated this way, especially when they have done nothing wrong.

We recently returned to No Mercy Ranch for our second hunt, but this time it was extra special…read morebecause I brought my entire family along--including my wife. Her very first question was, "How are the accommodations?" I can honestly say she was impressed. We stayed in the Big White House, and the accommodations were outstanding. We drove all the way from Minnesota and spent 13 days traveling, staying in multiple Airbnbs and hotels along the route. Surprisingly, No Mercy Ranch ended up being one of the nicest and most comfortable places we stayed during the entire trip. Now, let's talk about the hunting. We had four hog hunters and one Catalina goat hunt scheduled for the same day. Going into it, I was a little nervous about whether we'd be able to successfully harvest all of our animals in a single day. Thankfully, our guide Greg was incredible. His knowledge, preparation, and dedication put us in prime locations, and he worked hard to make sure everyone had a successful hunt. What made this trip truly unforgettable was the opportunity to share it with my family. My wife wasn't hunting, but she was able to accompany me and our three boys--ages 15, 13, and 12--and be part of every moment. Watching my sons experience the excitement of the hunt together and creating memories as a family is something I'll cherish forever.During our first trip to No Mercy Ranch, my then 11 year old son harvested a full-curl ram. And we harvest 3 hogs doing a nocturnal hunt. The taxidermy work on the ram was exceptional, and that mount has become one of my favorite reminders of an incredible experience. This time my oldest son harvested a beautiful Catalina goat, and we're looking forward to having it mounted as well. It is truly a magnificent animal.By the end of the hunt, all four of us tagged hogs ranging from 65 to 115 pounds, along with the Catalina goat. It was a successful hunt by every measure, but more importantly, it was a meaningful family adventure. The fact that we were willing to drive 13 hours one way to return to No Mercy Ranch says a lot about how much we enjoyed our first experience. What we didn't expect was for our second trip to be even better. Having the entire family there made all the difference.Thank you, No Mercy Ranch, and especially Greg, for giving my family an experience we'll never forget. The memories we made together will truly last a lifetime, and we can't wait to come back again.
