For 40 euro, the guys will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drop you off at night. You'll be out all day, starting out with a highly comprehensive lesson in water safety, then a coupla hours out in the sea, back in for a provided lunch, then another hour or two, victorious (maybe) conquering those waves in the afternoon, before being dropped back to your accommodation by about 5ish. Wetsuit and board hire are also included.
If you pay for a longer course, it works out cheaper per day. Obvs.
I went out for two days with the crew, with Paul being my instructor. Both Paul and Phil are funny, friendly, smart, and above all, they know their shit. By the beginning of the second day, I was standing and riding nearly every wave (alright, only for a few secs, and by afternoon, when tiredness descended, this was no longer the case!!) But the point is, Paul taught me more in the first day than I had learned in many hours with other instructors before. Yes, you will get tired, and you will have times when your body is not cooperating, but you will also walk away with muscle memory & a new skill set that will come right back into focus next time you're out.
I can't wait to go back to Lanzo to head out with these guys again.
