Some of the reasons I am thankful he has done my home follow (evidence via pictures): (Yelp won't allow pictures, so you can see them on Coastal Empire's FB page at https://www.facebook.com/CETintKings/) PRIVACY - I love looking outside when I walk through my house. It's surrounded by nature and beauty. I used to have to close the blinds during the day to keep out some of the heat and wandering eyes looking in. Now I leave the blinds and curtains open all day, because minimal heat enters and as seen in pic #2, from outside you can't see in, you just see a reflection of what it outside. PROTECTION - Hoping I don't have to test this, but in my mind there won't be shattered glass everywhere during a hurricane, it'll be held together by the film which is way better than using tape (which is also a dead giveaway that you aren't home). COMFORT - There are no cold spots in my house anymore, just a constant ambient temperature without variations. I keep the thermostat lower - because of the consistent temperature I don't need to drop it a few degrees to cool a hot spot. STURDY - As you can see in pic #1, it's important my cats can perch all day, watching nature. They LOVE it. Because birds outside cannot see inside, only their reflection, they come very close to the window which thrills the cats. Me too, actually. I have never seen so many bluebirds. My initial worry was that the suction cups would pull at the film, and when I told Mike that, he just said, "Let's try it, if it doesn't work, I'll re-tint the window." WHAT?! Who says that kind of stuff? A true professional, that's who. Anyway, we tried, and NO DAMAGE from the cups. So, these windows are open to nature all day long, and the perches are used constantly. Sylvester, pictured, clocks in at 10 lbs., so it can take some weight. SAVINGS - This year's average temperature in Savannah for the month of May was 5° HIGHER per DAY. Times 31 days, it has been significantly hotter than normal, and definitely hotter than last year. With all that extra heat, my cooling bill only increased $8 for the same period compared to last year. And it's way more comfortable inside. Truth be told, all the windows weren't done in May either, so I bet it'll be less in the future. LESS SUN DAMAGE/CANCER EXPOSURE - There are spots in my house where the sun has bleached the hardwood, due to the exposure to the sun's rays. No more - the tint prevents the sun damage to my things and to my skin. I can't pick just one reason to get your house windows tinted, so provided a few. Pick the ones most important to you, and give Mike a call at 912-800-1088. He can help you decide, provide information, and quote a price. Honestly, you can't spend you money more efficiently.

The short review: Be very wary of this company…read more The long review: This company applied tinted film to the glass roof of our sunroom. The work appeared to be done properly and we had no problems until the first frost, when a small leak presented itself. We called Dennis Fusco, the VP of the company and he came to the house to "assess" (I use the term loosely) the situation. He walked into the sunroom, looked up and said, "There's no way we caused a leak because we didn't cut anything. You should call the people who built the sunroom." Okaaaay. First of all, the sunroom had no leaks for 5 years but suddenly developed a leak after the film was applied. I'm skeptical. Secondly, he blatantly lied about there being no cutting. We saw his men using a cutting tool to cut the film and found thin strips of the film on the floor. Liar, liar pants on fire. ;) Thirdly, when I called the office to ask if I could speak with anyone else I had a lengthy conversation with the person who answered the phone. That person finally told me Mr. Fusco never had any intention of addressing the leak because they underestimated the job and lost money on our sunroom job. And this is my problem now? So there you have it. I absolutely would never use the company again nor recommend them because, while the work may be okay, the customer service, honestly and integrity are non-existent.

I employed them to apply film to several windows, doors, and skylights. Actually their workers and…read moreworkmanship were very good in my opinion. The problems were: (1) being presented with a final invoice for 37% more than the agreed-upon amount because Dennis claimed to have underbid the work. Hmmm. (2) Dennis also claimed that insurance companies awarded discounts for his products. He provided a list of such companies. I contacted one of the companies and got a clear "no". Dennis promised to investigate and respond. Hearing nothing I followed up once again, got another promise, and received no further contact.
