I stopped by with the cousins on a Wednesday Night to catch up over some post dinner drinks and late night eats. We sat inside the main dining room. The ambiance is dimly lit with the industrial style vibe throughout. There was a DJ playing pop music which was mixed with the music videos that displayed on the flat screen TVs. The music selection had all the trendy vibes from the past and present. However, it is LOUD in there. lol You will be borderline yelling to have a conversation at your table. The service was good enough. You have to waive down the servers to order your drinks. The bar was quick with getting them to your table and they were pretty tasty. The signature cocktails on their drink menu were put together well. None of our cocktail glasses were cleared from our table for the 2 hours we were drinking and catching up. It was funny to us. =) We ordered some tacos which came out quickly and were pretty tasty overall. Nice work kitchen. We went here on a busy late Friday evening so you can already imagine how loud and crowded it is. We were first seated outside beside the blasting speakers and a blazing fan it's almost too hard to breathe. Anyway, the waitress was very accomodating when we requested to be transfered inside. This isn't our first time dining at Tipsy Pig but our first time at this specific location. We ordered the Nachos, Pork Belly, and Pares. All were really good as usual. However, the Frozen Iced Tea tasted different than what we're used to. It's not really bad per-se but it's just not how we were expecting the taste to be like. read more

Every time I visit Metro Manila, it baffles me to see how much development and social culture has grown! Tipsy Pig (at the time of this meal anyway) is located right by one of the newer developments in the area. Its close proximity made it easy for Grab drivers to pick us up, and other family members to meet us. We ordered the sisig tacos and Chinese pizza. While the food tasted good, everything else was a mess. Customer service was at its worse. We had dinner here and it took them more than 40 minutes to serve the food. Furthermore, the waiters and even the managers were either dismissive of our request or even snobby. When we requested to be put inside the restaurant as we were eating and it to be easier to share food across the table, they stated there was no space avaialble inside when it was very visible from the outside that there were tables available for our group. Lastly, their quarantine protocols are not consistent, we asked to join our tables given we ordered food for sharing but they did not allow this due to quarantine protocols which was understandable, but on the other side of the table they accommodated the same request from a different set of customers who were drinking and eating. We brought our entire family here with high hopes for a unique and memorable dining experience. Long review short, it was a fantastic establishment. The service is prompt and polite. The decor is clean and combines modern and rustic design which contributes nicely to the ambiance while dining. Now on to the "meat" of the review (pun intended, of course). "Belly Good" Sisig Tacos: I have to start with their number 1 best seller. If you're a fan of everything pork then this is the dish you want. Creamy and tender sisig topped with a perfectly crispy chicharon pairs for a great dichotomy of textures that melds into a delicious pork medley. The sauce it comes with only elevates and brings out the flavor of the dish. Being from Texas, we KNOW our pork and this is one of the best interpretations of the meat I've had. My only suggested area of improvement would be the tortillas, which were average. Once again, this comes from my upbringing in Texas which has a heavy Mexican influence and doesn't really take away from the entirety of one superlative dish. Tipsy's Boneless Crispy Pata: Having eaten Crispy Pata for most of my life I must say that Tipsy's fresh interpretation of a classic Filipino dish is a pleasant and flavorful one. The crispy and tender pork literally falls off of the bone. It's covered with fried garlic chips and an Asian soy sauce. This dish paired with one of the sauces, my personal favorite the hoisin, and one can understand why it is one of the top crispy Pata dishes around. Kesong Poutine, Tipsy Salpicao, Beer Can Chicken, the "Dirty Mexicana" Nachos, and the Freshly Baked Mussels just add to an already solid offering. The signature cocktail is the Saint Jared which has Captain Morgan Rum, Banana Liquor, Pineapple and Orange juice. The sweet refreshing crispness of the drink adds a tropical flair to the savory meal. If you're in the mood for a more warming drink then I would recommend their salted caramel martini which is made with Absolut Vanilia. Finally, I have to mention that while we were dining here President Aquino made an appearance at this establishment. What better endorsement could you ask for? Great place! Firstly, servers were very attentive and friendly. Even though the place got crowded later in the night, the quality of their service never dwindled. I could also tell that they've built a good rapport with most of their regular customers. Hope to be one of those soon! Haha! Their food was delicious. The Triple Chop was surprising. We were seated, all the staff were huddled in an area, talking and laughing, which I don't mind, but we sat there for 30 mins without getting service, and just us and another group wAs there, in short, the restaurant was empty! They over charged us, and then because they were trying to compensate, they were giving us a 10% discount but still not correcting the mistake. We don't mind paying , but the principle and the mistake will never be corrected if we let it go. After talking to 2 different managers back and forth , talking to 4 waiters/waitress also back and forth! (Because our waiter obviously was hiding, we had to call another waiter to call our waiter), and correcting the bill for 4 TIMES, they finally listened to us their customer! and resolved the issue. The new Capitol Commons area is host to a lot of awesome new finds for food and drinks. Tipsy Pig seems to rule over them all, a monolith of a restobar hard to miss as you drive along the main road. The food is pretty delicious and the ambience quite spacious - sort of a slightly upscaled version of a Dencio's or Gerry's. My friend ordered the Crispy Pata all to himself (!) and felt so bad...yet so good, if you know what I mean. One thing to note is that the restaurant allows indoor smoking around past 10pm, so you better be prepared if you hate the smell of tobacco (Just stay outdoors and people watch, it's pretty fun to do). Tipsy Pig attracts a predominantly yuppie crowd. Obviously being near Ortigas Center has something to do about that. A nice place to chill and relax after work. You can stay inside the place where it's air conditioned and also the seats and tables are long enough for your girlfriends and their plus ones. I highly suggest that you order hard drinks, and for our case, we ordered two bottles of Johnny Walker which made us all tipsy, like the pig. Haha. A bottle of Johnny Walker costs around P1,200+ charges. The food there is also great, I would recommend for you to order some salad and pizza to match the drinks you have. The place is also very accessible, and I suggest that you go earlier than 9pm because the parking space there is a bit of a problem especially if it's on a Friday or weekend. The ambiance, food and (of course) drinks at Tipsy Pig provide me with everything that I need. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey so it might be the type of place you go to when you want to treat yourself and splurge a little. The place is constantly jam-packed (even on a Monday night) but it's big enough to cater to everybody. It's not too loud except for the occasional burst of raucous laughter from the other customers. You could choose to dine inside. You could choose to drink and smoke outside. If you need a bit of privacy, you could also rent out their VIP room upstairs. I can't stress this enough: I. Love. Their. Nachos. It's just the perfect thing to munch on when you're out with your friends. If you're looking for something a bit heavier, you could also try their crispy pata. I just thought that it was amazing they built Capitol commons because it is near where I live! I was also even happier because they built Tipsy Pig. It's now one of the new hang spots in the Metro. Not only do they serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from, but they also have a great menu for food. Gastropubs are somewhat the in-thing now and Tipsy Pig is one of the most famous ones. What I really like about their menu is that each item has a picture. I just really think it's wise they did that because people have a better grasp on what they want to have for lunch or dinner. The presentation of the dishes I have so far are also nice that it makes it all the more mouthwatering. My favorites include their Sisig Tacos, Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup, Crispy Chicken Wrap, Caesar Salad, and BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders. All of which were really good and the portions are really good. One or two people can share each order if their appetites are like mine. And if you're on a night out with some friends, try their Raspberry Beer. It can give me such high expectations that I'm easily disappointed, but there are gems that actually reach those expectations. Tipsy Pig, fortunately, is a gem. I understood why people rave about it and swear by it. Their crispy pata is delicate and tender, the best a crispy pata can be. The skin is crunchy, which is a must. And it was surprisingly flavorful already, not usual for a crispy pata. The Vineyard Pizza was also pretty interesting. The different toppings that the pizza had was an eclectic mix but it all really worked well together! The taste was fresh with a bit of a tang of acid. Just like how you would imagine a vineyard to taste like, actually. But my favorite dish has to be the rigatoni pasta. It's one of the many pasta dishes I've tasted that actually stuck to my mind! Service was inattentive: We had to chase him down multiple times while he was staying into space, and he forgot items. It took 20 minutes before he asked us about drinks, making us mud happy hour. Food: Not bad. I had spicy wings. Could have used some veggies with it to cut through all the deep fried grease. My wife had tokwat-baboy three way - tasty, but too rich. Should have drained the fat a bit, and not used so much salty soy sauce. Again, could have used veggies to cut the heavy fat. We felt bloated and prone to a heart attack. The beer is ok, but my draft san mig pale tasted flavored. Perhaps they mixed up my order, or the taps were shared? Anyway, I got a bottle the next time.
