In all honesty we had contacted several contractors before this. Either they didn't return calls,…read moreclaimed to be too busy, or ended up being the local handyman. We found Schaeffer Construction through a referral, and from the moment we contacted them we really felt this might be the right choice. Tim Schaeffer responded to our inquiry fast. He answered our questions, made suggestions, and came to our home the next day to gather information. He was professional, on time, made measurements, took pictures, answered more questions, and said he would get back to us within 24 hours. The next day we had his bid, and his game plan if accepted. This was all great, but it got even better once we accepted the bid, and construction got started. They poured footings that could easily support a full size building. Every board used was hand picked & top quality. The joints were precisely cut. The cedar decking was stained on all 4 sides, and then screwed to the framing from the sides so nothing shows from the top. There were no shortcuts taken building the roof, stairs, railings, and balusters. I could go on, but you get the picture! I highly recommend Schaeffer Construction.

He refers to them as his "skilled laborers." The first time they did, any landscaping work for me, their weed line broke on the weedeater and they left the job unfinished without any communication as to why they needed to leave or when they would complete it. They have also bid other jobs for me such as irrigation sprinkler repair, and a ramp rebuild/repair. Then, I didn't hear anything from any of the workers or management for three weeks. By the time they got back to me, I had already recd other bids, approved a bid, hired somebody, had the work completed and paid for the work. Their "skilled laborers" are "boys" who don't take their job or their clients seriously. I even had a text from Tanner after 11 pm. Both he and Dallas heard about it from me. Their laborers dictate rates to the owner. Not acceptable. They are not professional and should not be considered if you want quality work done at a decent price.
