This place is now horrible. We had been happy customers of Tire Choice Auto Service Centers (formerly McGee Auto Service & Tires) at 2400 N. Capital Circle NE for at least 15 years, and we had purchased our last two sets of tires for our car there. However, in the past few years, we have noticed a sharp decline in customer service and service quality. We used to always get a record of our free tire rotation for our files, but on several occasions, we've asked for a service record and not been given one, and on one of those times the staff issued a rude, flat refusal for one. But more troubling is what happened on two subsequent visits. On the first of these occasions, one of the service staff informed us that our brake pads were down to 1 mm of usable surface and needed immediate attention, which struck us as odd as our vehicle had had brake work done at our dealer within the last year. So, when we took our vehicle back to the dealer to have the brakes checked, they informed us the brake pads in fact were fine and still had 6 mm of usable surface left. The second occasion, when we brought our vehicle in for a tire rotation in October 2025, was more serious. Our purchase records for the tires had been deleted from their system, but they agreed to do the rotation. However, we were then informed that the tires were too old to rotate, so they would not perform the service. What's worse though, is the service technician had already taken all the wheels off of the car and did not put them back in the correct location on the passenger side of the vehicle (it's an all-wheel-drive car and the wheels must be put back in the correct positions). And unbeknownst to us at the time, the service tech had also cross-threaded four of the lug nuts (two each on two different wheels) when re-installing them. We then had to go to our dealer to replace the four studs and four lug nuts, just so we could get the new tires installed on our vehicle. This cost us more than $150 out of pocket and a lot of lost time. So naturally we are quite dissatisfied by the substandard service we have received, and when we contacted the parent company (Monro) customer service department, it took 4 months to get an answer back regarding our claim. Turns out they denied us any restitution for the labor, new studs, and damaged lug nuts that needed to be replaced. Pretty shoddy all around. Highly recommend avoiding this place. read more

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but Tire Choice Auto Service Center was a blessing to us. My daughter was driving on I-10 headed to South Florida on a Sunday and discovered she had a leaky valve stem on one of her tires. I called and spoke with Darrell who stayed after closing time to make sure my daughter's tire was taken care of. Awesome service. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Terrible experience, if you're a female avoid this place at all costs. If you're anyone, avoid it. They will not be honest with you. I came here to get an oil change for my Chrysler a few months back after buying a Groupon and had to almost beg them to honor their own Groupon because I couldn't get a refund for it. It was pointless cause I was still asked to pay extra on top of the Groupon. To make matters worst, my roommate needed an oil change recently and asked me where I got mine. I told her here, I shouldn't have told her. She went and they tried to scam her giving her a higher price for her oil change and she showed them their website price and they said they could "honor their website price"... how does that make any sense. Then they told her they couldn't honor the coupon that came to her mail saying it wouldn't work at this location. The mailed coupon had this exact address on it. None of it made sense so she left. Walmart will get you an honest and cheap oil change, don't waste your time here. read more

Horrible experience that had to later be fixed by a different tire company. I came here to get 2 new tires because of a blowout. When they finished adding my tires they didn't even check the tire pressure and my tire light was on still after coming. My tires take nitrogen and I honestly don't know where to get nitrogen so I went back to this place and they said they'd take a look, which they did and then overfilled my tires. Out of spite? To be dicks? I honestly don't have an answer, but a fucking tire center shouldn't make that fuck up. I almost lost control of my vehicle doing a simple correct on the interstate with my kid I'm the car. Handling was poor ever since they had done work on my car. At high speed my car just didn't feel safe at all. Here to find out from Discount Tire (who were super helpful) to tell me that my tires had been maxed out in pressure. Not sure if they find this to be amusing to fuck with people paying a lot of money for a simple service, but there's really no damn excuse for a tire shop to make this mistake and literally play with people's safety. If you're looking for some vindictive mechanics who don't want to do their job and fuck with your car, this is the place to go. read more

I wanted to give special attention and rating to TIRE CHOICE AUTO SERVICE CENTER amazing customer service. They were so kind and understanding and did me a kindness leaving my honest review was the least I could do! Out of town and on the road traveling, I found myself with a flat tire on my new car - had to get back on the road and home, these guys stopped what they were doing and fixed my car and got me back on the road before the storms started. I'm forever grateful and just goes to show great people are out there. I wish I knew of this place when I lived there but my family will now use them for all their mechanical needs. God Bess you all- I always try to ' do a kindness to others' and I see the universe came around and passed it back to me. So I thank you and I appreciate your hard work. worst service ever. starting taking my 2016 Chevrolet traverse for oil change onl , it was 11 am , they told me it will take one hour . I waited , they coded around $ 110. , better oil up , I greed , after an hour my car still not finished , I looked at my car and it was lifted higher and the driver side tire was removed , I was suriprised , I asked the front disk why , his response was they are doing full check up and it's free , I said k , around 2 pm my car completed , they said your car check up is great it's very clean , I left , after 15 minutes driving I felt problem with my power stearing. Was jammed. I went back they said you need to bring it to the car dealer . They denied responsibility. I call 911 . then police sheriff called back and they told me this is civil case . the store even didn't buzzer to look at it just told me that's not thier fault . The car after I left was not safe to be driving . I checked the power steering oil and it was empty . I can't wait to file lawsuit . I hope this store will be closed because a lot of people safety in thier hands, read more

I thought it was great that these guys could immediately work me right in on Tuesday... now I think know why - business must be down. Here's why my family will no longer bring our vehicles to Tire Choice: On Monday evening this week, my Honda Odyssey wouldn't start - it had battery power, but wouldn't start. The following morning the AAA guy was able to get me started and I drove it here while the AAA guy followed me in case of any problems (really great guy from Grant's). I described the problem of slow/difficult starting progressing to NOT starting to the manager and shop guy. I wanted the starter & alternator to be checked though it seemed like a starter issue. I also asked if there was time for an oil change since it was on a lift anyway. After chatting with the manager for a very short time, the shop guy came in to tell me the battery was "very weak" and should be changed to fix the problem. I specifically asked him if the starter and alternator were OK... he said they were. He also told me that I needed a new power steering pump (the one he was looking to replace was less than 4 months old), my air filter was "very dirty" and I needed an alignment. I had them go ahead and have the battery & air filter replaced, told them NOT to do an alignment because I had that covered someplace else, and had the oil changed. Almost 2 hours later, and just under $200 later, I left. On the way home I noticed that my steering wheel was no longer straight if I wanted to actually GO straight - a NEW problem. Apparently my tires were rotated which they say is causing this since I didn't have them do an alignment. And the very next morning my Odyssey was back to difficult to start! The EXACT SAME PROBLEM I had BEFORE I went to Tire Choice (formerly McGee's). It wasn't the battery after all. I should have saved the almost $200 and waited a day or two until Import Authority had availability. That's where my vehicle is right now, getting a new starter. I felt so cheated at this place today. $122 diagnosis for a bad radiator, more than a hour wait and the store was very slow on a Saturday morning. Here is the kicker, the $122 is in addition to the repair cost. To replace a 2007 car radiator, they told me it costs more than $1300. I had no concept of how much it should cost, but I know I couldn't afford it. so I called another repair shop, they quoted $400. And I paid $400 plus tax. I am done with this shop. I wouldn't even come for an oil change. I don't trust them anymore. I felt so cheated today. read more

Just had a great experience here. Came in without an appointment with a nail in my tire. They saw me quickly despite being busy, patched the tire, and didn't charge me a thing! Great service. As a bonus their waiting room was clean and their vending machine had good options (I was with an impatient toddler) read more

A nail in my tire! After going to a place that told me it couldn't be repaired, I was expecting to have to buy a new tire. I went the The Tire Choice and they inspected it thoroughly. They raised the truck up to get the tire off and after a few minutes came back and said that it was repairable and it's all fixed. They didn't even charge me! I always come to Tire Choice and feel they treat me special. It has never taken long to get things done and I trust Rick, the store manager, with everything he says. I have brought cars I was interested in buying and they would do a complete inspection to let me know if the car was something I should buy or not buy. David did one of the inspections and saved me from buying a car with major issues I wasn't told at the car dealership. They saved me a few times. My son did the same thing and found a great car because they did a thorough inspection. I wasn't as lucky but at least I didn't get a used car with so many issues. My son took his old truck up to Tire Choice and asked Rick to tell him what the details of the truck were because I wanted to sell it on Craigslist. Bingo- it sold very quickly. If they don't have the tire I need, they call around to find it and get it as soon as possible. It's really hard to trust a mechanic when you are a female but I have Tire Choice and don't ever have a doubt when they let me know what's going on with my vehicles.
