Hauled it the 80 miles to them and parts guy said he can't do anything without a receipt even though he knows darn well it came from there and it shouldn't matter anyway since it's a Ford battery with a nationwide warranty. I would understand if something appeared out of place in addition to not having any receipt, but it even still has the date of manufacture on it which proves it's inside of the warranty period and being a long established customer should help I'd think. It's 2024, people don't carry paper receipts around for their batteries from 2 years ago. I've not been to a business in 15 years that doesn't have every transaction stored under the customer name on their computer anyways. It's sad they were willing to throw away so many years of past and future purchases simply over a battery that's under warranty still. I was just getting ready to buy a new bale bed pickup before year end too. Called the next nearest dealer to me upon leaving the building and they said bring the battery in, no problem to warranty, they would stand behind it. I felt bad for raising my voice upon leaving, but the parts guy couldn't help but make a comment when I turned to walk away with my bad battery (which in their defense I've never had happen with the folks here before.) I think it's maybe time for him to find a different job. What a bunch of nonsense to get out of warranting a battery. Had an awful Sunday service repair experience in Glendive Montana and opted to use a AAA tow to get…read moreme to the next major town along the 94 East which was Dickinson North Dakota. After a few other companies canceling, Autobody Solutions took the tow and picked us up. The driver, Justin, was very professional and got us to Dickinson safely and quickly. He even test drove our vehicle to see if he could diagnose the issue. Along the drive, I told him all of the symptoms we had experienced and he said it sounded like a clogged/broken down catalytic converter. He showed me that the exhaust fumes were not exiting properly and he was 99% sure that it was the cat First thing Monday morning I stopped into an exhaust shop and they confirmed Justin's suspicions. The cat converter was clogged and was seriously restricting flow which was causing the van to run in a "limp" mode and affect shifting. They completed the repair in less than 1 hour. Our van was running very strong and we drove 500 miles right after the exhaust repair. Thank you Justin and Autobody for being so honest and helping us get our Sportsmobile back on the road.
