The absolute worst management, service and overall attitude I've experienced in years. I dropped off a dress to be shortened, and 2 weeks later, I call to check the status on the dress. I was told i'd receive a call back in a few hours once the tailor arrives. I did not receive a call back, but instead, called AGAIN only to be told that the tailor wanted my "permission" to work on the dress as it would be too "expensive". So, when I asked the "manager/owner" of the place about WHY it took 2 weeks to communicate this to me, she had no response. She Offered NO reconciliation, but instead said "i don't know what you want me to do". i wouldn't go back there even if it were free of charge. don't go there if you care about your time and about avoiding rip offs. read more

Update: Even though we originally had a poor experience with this cleaner, the owner took notice of my review and made and effort to reach out to me to correct the issue. Long story short, once he got involved he took ownership of the damage to the coat and sent us a check for the value of the coat. My mother has her favorite jacket back (thankfully it is a very popular style that is still available today and not a vintage piece that can no longer be purchased) and she is happy, so I am happy. I used to bring my dry cleaning here primarily out of convenience. I will not be going back again. Recently brought in my wool pea coat and my mother's wool coat for cleaning. Each coat had a small stain (something similar to chocolate or coffee) on them when I dropped them off. For about $20/coat, you would think that they would be returned clean and detailed like a dry cleaned coat normally would be. Upon picking them up I noticed that the dirty spots were still there and, furthermore, my pea coat looked almost as if nothing had been done to it at all. When I brought the coats back to have them cleaned again, one woman working there argued that, "it is never a guarantee that any stain will come out," with an attitude, mind you (walking away from me toward the back of the room - so not even a face-to-face conversation). She then proceeded to tell me that in the event that an employee does not specifically mark the dirty spots on a coat when a yellow tag at the time of drop off, this means that the person cleaning the coat will not see the dirt and will not clean it. Both coats had spots right on the front (very clearly visible), so to say that the cleaner could not see the dirty spots on the coats is ridiculous. I did not appreciate the attitude the woman took while addressing a customer concern. She said she would personally take care of the coats herself. Great. Thankfully, the coats were ready the next day and I have now picked them up and brought them home. Not only were the spots not completely removed (since it's never a guarantee), but my mother's coat looks and feels as if they handled it so carelessly that they almost ripped a hole through it - the fabric is now very thin in that area and is even more visible than the original stain. My pea coat looks like they removed lint and most of the stain, but I cannot overlook the fact they essentially damaged my mother's favorite coat. Not to mention, there is also a man who I've seen there on various occasions who will stand on the customer side of the counter the entire time, giving a minimal glance and never saying hello. This establishment has gone downhill without a doubt. I will not be a patron of Tirpok Cleaners again and I recommend looking for other cleaners before you try your luck with Tirpok. read more

I will never go back to Tirpok Cleaners again. As a new customer to Tirpok I thought they looked reputable, but I was wrong. I thought the service was poor and prices are too high. I dropped off several shirts to be cleaned and a few pants to be tailored. The tailored pants would be ready for pick up in 9 days. I tought that was a little long but okay. I started a new job and needed these pants asap so as I go to pick up my pants 9 days after I dropped them off, an employee tells me that 1 of my pants are not ready because the seamstress didn't remember what length I wanted it cut. So basically the pants just stayed there for 9 days, NO PHONE CALL at all to me to ask me how much I wanted off my pants. I was really annoyed because all they could say to me is "we'll call you when it's ready". So 2 days later I call in the morning to ask if my pants are ready yet and the woman who answered the phone says yes they are here ready to be picked up. To my surprise the pants are not ready, i walked into the store and my pants weren't even entered back into the system when they screwed up the first time. i had to dig threw my trash at home to find the reciept that clearly mentioned the "forgotten" pants. I spoke to Lisa the following day and she said they they found my pants and it would take a few more days for the tailoring and cleaning. What makes this even more funny is they told me the pants were already paid for when it really wasn't. 14 days after I originally dropped of my pants I finally got them back. I will never go to this place ever again!!! customer service is horrible. This was a bad experience for me and Im glad it happened as early as it did because as a first time customer I know never to go back. I should have seen the red flag when on the first day of being in this place a woman in front of me was complaining about her bed set not being properly cleaned, stains were not removed and the comforter had a bad smell. She told the employee that they had cleaned the bed set twice already and this was the third time she was coming back because they still hadn't gotten the job done. What person goes to the same cleaner 3 times over the same item that wasnt done correctly in the first place?? anyway, she said loud and clear that she wanted her bed set to be cleaned and this was the last time she was doing this, if it comes back not done she will tell everyone she knows not to go to Tirpok and she is basically demanding her money back. I totally agree with her but what startled me was the reaction of the employee. He said to her "Oh don't worry ma'am I'll make sure this gets done and you will definately get your money back, I know the owner personally, I'm actually dating his daughter!" WHAT? Really. So if you date the owner's daughter then things will get done? If you drop off an item to get cleaned or tailored, the job must be done in a timely manner and done right the first time. Not the second or especially the third. I've never seen a place so unprofessional. It's dry cleaning, not rocket science! Another place has already gotten my business! The economy is not at it's greatest and to loose customers is not helping your profits. read more

I will never go back here again. Terrible customer service and cleaning. They ruined one of my dresses that I had had dry cleaned at other cleaners' tons of times without issue. When I brought it in, the manager suggested that dress colors simply fade and that it wasn't their fault. I pushed back on it given that I have a matching item that has never faded and she agreed to give me a claim form. When I heard back MONTHS later, I was told I had to return the dress to them to receive my check. So not only did they leave me with a faded dress, but they wanted it back! They are the WORST. With a wedding of a very close friend coming up, I had dropped off a dress and suit to be dry cleaned and pressed. The dress cost much more than I expected, but I don't dry clean often, so I settled for the over $20 price tag to clean one dress and paid the bill. The suit was another story. With a teenage son, I need to adjust the length of pants regularly. I had let out the hem of his suit pants and when I dropped off the suit explained I needed the old hem fold pressed out. I picked up the suit 5 days later and the hem was pressed back in. I told them this was wrong and the clerk said she would take care of it. I unfolded the hem and asked they be pressed again to remove the fold line. It was a 3 day wait. I went after work last night to pick up the pants (Thursday after 5 as promised. Wedding is Saturday early morning). Not only was the pant hem pressed back in the same place, but the pants were hemmed! I specifically explained that I had hemmed the pants and the line needed to be pressed out! It wasn't a difficult request. When I informed this clerk that these were wrong and I hadn't asked anyone to hem them, her response was "sorry". I told her I needed them corrected for tomorrow. Again her response was "sorry". It took quite a long time to undo the hem I never requested and attempt to press out the old hem fold with a home iron. Old hem fold is still there, but I can't risk not having the pants or having them do more damage. I will not be returning again! read more
