Scott was one of very few roofers who responded to our calls, gave us the best quote, and pushed hard to get a big job done (it's a ranch house with a lot of roof) while the weather held. What really sold us on APR, though, was how obviously Scott knows what he's doing and how meticulously he applies his knowledge to his work. He knew all the pros, cons, and technical characteristics of the materials we considered, diagnosed problems we didn't know were there, worked with us to keep the costs down, and was open and honest in all his dealings with us. And - oh, yeah - the roof looks great. There's never any guarantee with ice damming, of course, but we are confident that Scott has given us the best possible shot at keeping the water outdoors this winter.

Our experience with The View Roofing was the most unprofessional experience with any company we've…read moreever had. I can't fathom the positive reviews of this company. While Freddy seemed knowledgeable and was priced just below competitors, the realty was anything but. Most egregiously we were overbilled for sheets of plywood replacement after the job was over. Nobody discussed this with us during the job. Nobody would tell us what was replaced and where. We had to take photos from the underside and refuse to pay until they showed what was replaced. They never did. Then there was the damage. They damaged several of our deck posts and never repaired them as promised. They punched holes in our sheet rock ceiling. When replacing them we had to make sure they repaired the whole section (they tried to only repair part of it and paint over the other part). When repainting we were told they would paint the entire ceiling to match, then on the day they said they would only paint half then they only painted the small areas where they repaired leaving mismatched paint. We had to withhold payment and fight over a credit to cover hiring a painter. The list of minor things is long, from driving on our lawn and leaving huge tire indents, to burning a section of our grass with their equipment, leaving trash out in the yard away from the house overnight (lunch wrappers and water bottles not work debris). Dropping paint on our sidewalk (that wasn't completely cleaned), Dripping paint and spackle on our walls that left a permanent mark and leaving debris and trash behind when they left for good. All of this documented with photo and video. During all this Freddy, who was not on site most of the time, was the only person who spoke English and whom we could communicate with effectively (while the crew tried to use google translate it didn't work well). This exacerbated all the issues that we had.

We put a deposit down on the spot. Our ability to do the project was dependent on another contractor doing stone work on our porch first. Fiderio was great about scheduling around them and getting the work done quickly once the stone work project was complete. They did their work fast and cleaned up without a trace. The prices are fair (let's be honest, home improvement projects are never cheap!) and the service and quality of workmanship is fantastic!
