I waited inline for them to tell me that they dont do shared banking. In other words, I couldnt not transfer my money from one to credit to the other. My other two credit unions have this option. I have other credit union accts, never ever a wait in 30yrs. So why did I endure this wasted 45min? I failed to ask if they provided the service I needed, so I will take the hit on this one, never assume anything....They have a excellent CD rate currently, so yes I will be coming back to do some business with them. Went in to open two accounts, one savings account for my grandson and another (checking) for me…read moreand my son. Ended up with four accounts. I had to open a savings for me with at least $10 in it, so I could become a member. I then opened the savings for my grandson. The next account was a savings account in my son's name with at least $10 in it. Then, his checking account was "tied to" his savings. If the need arises, to prevent overdrafts, they will take the money from his savings and transfer to the checking account to cover the overdraft. He was issued a Debit card for the checking account. I was issued an ATM card for the savings of mine, and another ATM for my grandson's savings. They can't put more than one savings account on an ATM card, so I will have extra ATM cards. Not a big deal, but would be nice to consolidate cards. Seemed like it took forever.....I arrived around 4:45 and didn't get out of there until after 6:00. Convenient to my house though. They do have a night drop for deposits and deposits can be made thru the ATM.
