They do not tell you how much your monthly payments will be until an hour has passes into the paperwork. Then they explain that after you pay $150 a month, only $30 of that payment will be out towards the principal...Back in 2010, I got a title loan through TitleMax and they did not used to be this greedy...I paid $150 a month and that money paid off my $1000 Title loan in a year...They have seemed to switch to a more predatory business model, where my $150 per month payment only adds $30 to the the principle...TitleMax sucks, I am now involved in every class action lawsuit against these POS's. read more

WARNING!!! Exhaust all avenues to borrow money before using Title Max or any similar loan company. Most people needing a loan is because we don't have funds readily available, our credit is lacking, it doesn't mean we are deadbeats. These types of loans should actually be illegal, they're taking severe advantage of people with extremely high interest rates. If you're not able to pay back the entire amount, you have to roll your loan over, of course for a fee. I lost so much money on my loan having to renew it several times. I'm trying to rebuild my credit, Title Max doesn't even report your payments to The Credit Bureau. It's a shame that instead of helping those of us, for whatever reasons, have had some issues, can't get ahead, because of utmost greed. They repo my vehicle last night caused damage to the vehicle and to my other vehicle parked next to it. Instead of them makeing it right they tried to blame someone they hired to repo it. Obtained a loan on 6/12/2021 for $3000.00 and was told that if I couldn't make the complete payment on 7/12/2021 easily apply for a renewal using the mobile app. Did so and paid $500.00 for the renewal. Went back online to pay off my balance and it's $3500.00. So basically I'm paying $1,000.00 in fees and was never told that the $500 previously paid would not be applied towards the loan. Very kind but a horrible loan idea even at your worst. You'll live in terror once the threats come in. The loan process is not like a normal finance of your car (large payment plus interest over a normal 5/10 months and it's paid off). You're paying large monthly payments with a balloon payment that only refinances your vehicle. There's no logical way to pay this off with comfort. You're only option is to lay the whole loan plus interest so every payment you've been making is basically pointless. I thought I was paying it in a timely manner each month and the balance never changes. You literally are paying the same loan over and over and over until they simply won't allow you. This was a horrible decision on my part. I own my car outright and it's like paying more than your livelihood to rebuy it. If you choose this route just really evaluate if this is your best route. It's a wicked cycle that you may never get out of and could lose your belongings in the process. I had funeral costs to cover and now this has made that even more traumatizing everyday. You'll find yourself trying to squeeze blood from a turnip to find your way out of it. Them being nice isn't worth your peace of mind. They are not flexible, I started receiving the texts and I've been communicating with them consistently but in the midst of grieving and working this fear is a nightmare. Instead of issuing me a refund cause the car was over paid they let the interest rise so that they could keep the money. That is bad business. I specifically requested a loan payment date on Thursdays on my application as that's when I get paid. Instead, they based my payment off an old loan and I was set up for Wednesdays instead of confirming my current paycheck deposit days. Now they want me to call 2 days ahead before every payment is due so I don't get charged a late fee. They absolutely refused to change the due date stating that they cannot permanently change it! I waited on hold for 15 mins and I don't have time to call TitleMax every 2 weeks and wait on hold for 15 minutes plus 5-10 minutes talking to a representative just to tell them my payment will be a day late. So now I am car less, money less, and jobless until further notice. This repo has also completely screwed up any chance of me getting anything from the other peoples insurance from the accident. This location is great. Look, obviously the interest rates will be high. A title loan is definitely not something you take out unless you absolutely need to. It is a SHORT TERM LOAN. You need to read the fine print and listen to them as they explain the payback terms. That being said, these people are not out to get you. It does not help them if you take out a loan that you can't pay back. I've worked with Michael multiple times and he is fantastic. Very helpful and he runs a great staff. He will tell you exactly what you need to know and make sure he does everything he can to help if you find yourself in a tough spot. They initially said my car was in Bryan and then when I got paperwork to release my vehicle it was actually already at the auction place in Houston. So 3 hrs from where I live. Golf links and Kolb tucson az. Been doing business at this location since 2015 and the people that r there now r beyond rude iv never had my car repo and this chick Veronica tried to hustle me today. I paid my debt and because I called to ask questions especially only being 12 days past due she said if I didn't pay the other 107.00 or 170.00 which I did that my car was up for repo with no notice or and calls about it. Only found out because I called to pay the rest. I also went there to collect papers for my bank to buy the loan and this crazy little girl told me I was wrong filled me to the door yelling at me to read the document that I signed. I told her that it does Cleary State that I would be informed of repo. Which I was not because she claimed In the contract they don't need to notify. Lol these people at this location r nuts.
