Place is nice. You have to have all day to get serviced there. Bad Spanish service at its best.

Delicious cafe offering up some "American brunch" options in Gracia neighborhood! While we have…read moreenjoyed every aspect of our trip there was no denying we just missed the ability to have good ol' fashioned eggs for breakfast instead of a pastry. We stumbled upon Kamelia and they offered just that for us! They have a bunch of great egg dishes and breakfast dishes to try up and lots of vegetarian options too. I got the Eggs V which was a type of Benedict with english muffin, eggs avocado, asparagus and chick peas. PS chickpeas on eggs is GENIUS. We got some fries and salad on the side. My husband ordered the mushroom omelette which was so delicious and full of mushrooms! This is a great option if you want something cheap, quiet and off the touristy areas but also appeals to a standard "american breakfast" if you need it!

All the donuts are all handmade and it was hard to choose just two to try. My friend got a matcha one while I went with Oreo. Both were absolutely fresh and delicious. Located on Carrer del Torrent de l'Olla, essentially an ally with clotheslines hanging overhead and access limited to those traveling by foot or bike, it was just prior to 11h00 that a party of two entered the small space where an English-fluent couple was chatting and enjoying Coffee, the same server present as during the first visit immediately complimenting one guest's T-Shirt featuring a Pig and thus kicking off a lengthy five-person conversation about the movie Okja on Netflix. Small and homey in its design, a single glass case of Donuts on the counter in front of an Espresso Machine with a small plastic Pig and map of Greece the only real decorations aside from colorful seating for four, it was after weighing both the choices and remaining appetite that the decision was made to invest in three Doughnuts plus a Chocolate Frappe, the drink cool and creamy but unfortunately overwhelmed by unsweetned Whipped Cream which made the last several sips mostly undrinkable. Moving on to the Donuts, Rings and Holes of several traditional flavors in addition to a few novelties offered next to Bagels, it was with two filled choices and one topped in sweetened Tahini and crushed Pistachios that the order was comprised, the bases all identical with an egginess reminiscent of Brioche while the toppings and fillings were all quite good, the Sugar and Raspberry Jam far lighter and more natural than many found Stateside while the Dulce De Leche pocket featured thick Caramel beneath Vanilla Glaze and Cinnamon Streusel.

As displayed on their Instagram, it doesn't come in the beautiful flowery design. This is fine, because I don't need my food to look pretty in order to enjoy it, but the taste wasn't there either. The bread wasn't enjoyable at all and all I feel like I could taste were the massive tomatoes that they threw on there. I ended up adding a bunch of olive oil and a little salt and pepper to try and mask the dry bread. Didn't help much. My tab for the latte and the avocado toast was around 10€. The restaurant does have a nice and cozy atmosphere. A good place to study or read a book and have a coffee, but maybe not eat toast.

After a dozen attempts to dial in the pour the staff was honest and upfront about the selection that it couldn't be made to their standards. Wow, love this! Instead of giving me my drink and rushing me out the door, it was all about the quality. Being new to espresso making at home I fully understand the 1:2 ratio in a specific amount of time for making espresso. I took their advice and went with another bean selection. My iced cafe latte was for take away and I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors. One thing to note for any Americans that expect sweetener, there is none here. I wasn't bothered by this but I could see many others might be. Looking back I wish I had bought some beans to bring back home to Cali.

Service was fast - order at the middle kiosk and wait for your drink. They have a few iced drinks available, and you can choose which 3-4 beans to make the drink with. We got the iced latte along with the shakerato. The shakerato had no milk, so you can definitely taste the beans/coffee flavor. As for the iced latte, it was definitely less better and slightly more sweet and creamy due to the milk. You still tasted a bit of the flavor of the coffee.
