Unfortunately, our experience made us feel overlooked and unwelcome. At this level, service is not optional--it is a fundamental part of the experience. Being made to feel overlooked and unwelcome, combined with the lack of care in a situation involving a child's injury, made this an experience we cannot recommend. I've reached an age where I'm more into the dinner (the gastronomy) than the show, but at this price point, I'm afraid putting on a show is the price of admission to play in this arena, so we have to accept some theatrics. The theatrics at Cinq Sentits is frankly more refrained than others, and I found the complexity and originality of the gastronomy enjoyable. We had the complete tasting menu and each had a wine pairing. I will not waste time going over the many courses. After reviewing my notes, I was mostly impressed with the harmony between the food and wine. There were a couple of daring choices. We do like to be surprised, so I appreciate the stretch. One I thought was spot on. One I thought was a reach too far, but this is highly personal. Service is impeccable. It is clear staff are well rehearsed and make the dinner very polished. I really appreciated their precision. While the space of the room is designed with a minimalist sensibility, the dining room's grand space and distance between tables gave it a wonderful sense of opulence because of the privacy granted each table.
