This is my 1st time in this TJmaxx, it's not my home store, i was around the area, so i decided to check it out. It's bigger than my home store, has more stuff on most of category. Lots of skin care products! I'm amazed! Guess i will be here more often! read more

They do keep this store very stocked, everything's clean and off of the floor, which makes it nice to shop. The only downfall is, I've noticed that they don't have enough employees which affects checkout time a lot. But once you do get up there, they are quick and kind. Not enough to make me not come back. Our local neighborhood TJ Maxx. I frequent here pretty often, and am not disappointed. The selection is good, and they recently reorganized the whole store and I think it was for the better. The staff is helpful if you need anything and very friendly at checkout. The lines can get long during peak hours or during certain seasons but that is to be expected. I think the value for the products you get is very good and everything is reasonably priced. read more

Being the Maxxinista that I am, while I was visiting a friend in town, we had to make a trip before a busy weekend of fun. We browsed mainly the men and women clothing sections and we both found a few great tops. The store was kept mildly organized and check out was fast and friendly. I'm really over dressing rooms still being closed at TJ Maxx stores though. I wish they would work on getting those open again. I have quite a few things to take back because of it. read more

Stopped at this location after attending something else in the area. Since this was on our way home, we went here in lieu of our regular location. I had hight hopes for this store. Around 3:30 there was a line eight deep to get in. The items we were looking for had a sparse selection; a small area for them in general. These are usually staple items a such stores. Selection in clothing seems generally smaller than other stores as well. There was a whole aisle of pet beds. Other than pet beds, their pets selection was fairly miniscule. Customer service was pleasant. The line at the register moved quickly. They were spraying and cleaning after each person who visited the registers. A hand sanitation set up was available at the exit. read more

Let's be real, from time to time, I've been known to get down and be a real Maxxinista.... I love a good deal and I'm totally willing to spend some time searching through the racks to find the perfect fit. Unfortunately, it just feels like those "good finds" have become fewer and further between at the Newport TJ Maxx. I still love coming here for the candles and home decor, but I rarely make trips here to peruse the clothing racks anymore. I'm not sure what happened, but it feels like maybe less of the brands that would end up at TJ Maxx are finding their way to the shelves. I'll still pop in from time to time, but definitely can't rely on them anymore for affordable good finds. read more

I was treated like a criminal at the this TJMaxx in Newport, KY on 26 Feb 22! From the time that we walk in till the time that we laugh we had management and staff following us around like we were criminals! I know this to be true because I overheard them on their microphones as they were walking past me my girlfriend was even follow to the bathroom. I've been in customer service for over 20 years and I have never ever ever felt like this before in my life being treated like a criminal when I spent $450 that evening. It's establishment and the staff in the management all need to be reprimanded for their actions on Saturday night. I don't recommend this TJ Maxx to anyone. If you are looking for a great shopping experience do not go to this establishment. There is much needed improvement here and I will never return to this business! read more

HOLY BRAND NEW T.Jayyyyy's! So I'd like to start off by saying that it has been documented that I am in fact the least patient person on the planet. I will leave without buying something if the line is too long. If I can't find something, I'll just buy a new one. If I have to download a coupon and it's taking 10 years, I will just loose $50. Seriously people. I am not a fan of T.J. Maxx, in fact it gives me nightmares at night thinking about the mess, and all the jagged hangers poking you as you walk through that retail labyrinth. But I must say, this brand new location has turned me into a fan...at least for now. You walk in and immediately notice the tall ceilings and the fresh white paint. Huge, clean, bright and airy this location is not like any other I have seen. It looks like a high end department store for God's sake! I ended up scoring a $140 bathing suit for $19.99! I might have to be annoying for a second and say the dumb tagline, I kind of am a MAXXINISTA! Seriously my mouth dropped when I saw the tag for this designer swimsuit. Also -- there was NO DIGGING required. I went to the swim section, I saw my size, and I chose a swim suit. In and out in 20 minutes, I'm not kidding. On my way out, I also snagged the cutest black jumpsuit I have ever seen for $29, originally $79. And I have seen some going for upwards of $300 that look identical. I WIN THE DAY! I am officially converted. This tee jays rules all! read more

This store is fine, there's nothing wrong with its smaller size and selection of stock. It's just not full size thus no room for all the goodies you might be used to seeing in other stores. I can usually find what I come in for without having to search for too long. The customer service is a little inconsistent but other than that, this location is just fine. read more

New location! I love the tall ceilings. At first, I thought it may be a larger store providing more merchandise but nope don't get too excited. The place was clean and well organized. I didn't see a ton of clothes on the floor or handbags that needed to be untangled before I could take a look at them so YAY! Change of season offers lots of savings and clearance! Go check out the new location, I'll be sure to check them out again. read more

Great selection but terrible service at the cashier. We waited for 20 minutes because the cashiers (multiple involved 5 minutes in) couldn't process a return and charge in the same transaction. The store manager, Cammie, finally came and didn't even look or talk to us. Just mumbled something as each cashier tried to blame the other. read more

I had the worst experience at the Newport Kentucky location. I am an avid TJ Maxx/Home goods shopper. I own a credit card, I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars with the company. I love it and it is my favorite store to shop. I recently stopped by the austin landing ohio location on my way home from the Dayton airport. Spent $100 and noticed when I got home they charged me regular price for a clearance item. The store I purchased it at is almost an hour away so I took the avocado oil and the recipe to the Newport location. The girl gave me a look when I came in with the bag, then said they cant do the price adjustment because they arent home goods. (Doesnt make sense because the exact item is in that TJ Maxx, but thats fine.) I decided to look around and get a few items. The same girl pretty much followed me around like I was going to steal something. I put a purse in my cart- that I ended up buying- and she came from the cash register to the purses. Then I got some sunglasses and was trying to see which ones looked best. She came over to the jewelry counter so she could see me. I went to get my daughter some clothes and BAM shes there. I was so angry I almost walked out and left my cart there. I didnt because I really wanted the items I have picked out. I understand all about Shrink. I use to be a manager at Express eons ago. However the blatant nastiness and stalking was over the top and super offensive. I hate that this store is right by my house, because I will not go back to it again. I'll drive all the way to Oakley. Side not though- I called the Austin Landing store about what to do since they wouldnt do the price adjustment and they were AMAZING. The manager was so sweet. An item I actually left there they are mailing to me. ( Just a $3 lemon squeezer I left on the counter.) and they helped me find a closer homegoods. Oakley homegoods did the price adjustment with no qualms and I was so pleased I ended up spending way more money there. f the customer service the Newport location is giving. I wrote about it on facebook and a few people said they've had problems there at that one also. read more

I LOVE TJ MAXX! always have, was so happy when I learned they were coming to my neighborhood, Newport! But now that its here...not so much! It is so small there is nothing inside! 1 rack of slacks, 1 rack of casual shirts...its ridiculous! You would have to have all the Gods of luck on your side to find anything you want here.
