I had a truly frustrating experience with S&S. Aware that I have a tricky set up, I called in…read moreadvance to explain that my property has a steep driveway and might require special equipment. I encouraged them to come out first to assess the job before quoting -- they assured me someone would, but no one ever came. When the technician arrived for the scheduled power washing, he was visibly annoyed and unprepared. He even seemed to be angry with me about the driveway situation. When I asked what the person who supposedly came to assess had said, he admitted no one had actually come to look, and thought he could just do it via Google Maps... Still, I tried to keep the job moving forward. We agreed over email that he'd return with a portable washer and charge a pretty substantial extra fee. I was happy to pay extra given the circumstances, and asked for confirmation in writing that he still wanted to do the work, to which he replied: "I'm happy to take on the project." On the morning of the scheduled appointment, I sent an additional text to confirm that we were good to go and received a response confirming we were on. I then cleared all outdoor furniture, kids toys, our grill, planters, etc the morning of the appointment. But then JUST before the scheduled time, I received a last-minute text: "Actually I'm going to pass on this work -- it's not something I'm interested in dealing with." I fully understand that a contractor can decline a job. But doing so after multiple confirmations and hours of prep on my end is incredibly unprofessional. This company had every opportunity to bow out earlier, and instead chose to waste my time. I would not recommend S&S to anyone looking for reliable or respectful service.

I caution against working with Santini's Landscaping. I've tried to resolve the issues we've had…read morewith them privately, but they refuse to respond. The list of issues with the project we paid for is long, so I will share a few key points. First, they did not do what we paid them a significant sum to do. You can find images of the design we agreed to as well as what we ended up with on our Google Review. You can form your own opinion from there. Second, they damaged our brand new fence and refused to reimburse us the $945.00 we had to pay to get it fixed. Third, we requested they remove 2 Facebook posts advertising their business that featured our property. One of the posts included our young child, and it took several requests until they finally removed it. The second post has not been removed as of this date. We hired Steve Santini thinking that his business was well-established and we were willing to pay a higher amount than quoted by others to have the work done properly. Unfortunately, we made a significant mistake. Steve ordered his workers to deviate from the agreed upon design and contractual agreement without consulting us. In the end, we had to hire a different landscaping company to fix what Santini did to our property.
