I'm at the stage in life where I get these random aches. And more days of the week than not go by where I'll pop a Tylenol or Advil in the morning or evening to help temper those aches. I'm not much of a massage guy as the one's I've had usually involve oil, smells of lavender, and zen music but after prompting by my wife to try more of a clinical massage therapy approach, I reached out to Toshi for help. First, he can come to you so you are comfortable in your own environment. Second, he really was concerned about how he could help. He listened to where I needed help and focused on those areas during the massage. Third, this isn't a light touch massage, he is really working the muscles and kneading out the knots. It hurts, but so does my body when I all I do is get out of bed or turn the wrong the way. When he's done, there is relief and that is better than any pill I can take during the day. Toshi is a good communicator, has excellent technique, and reasonable rates. I found TK through Yelp, and am really glad that I sought him out over other massage therapists. It was very easy to set up an appointment on short notice via text. On the day of my scheduled massage, he drove all the way out to Glendale in rush-hour traffic and still made it to my apartment at least 5 minutes early. He brings the entire set-up to your home, including the massage table, towels, and sheets. TK is very considerate and professional, as everyone else has mentioned. The massage itself was amazing. I specifically asked for him to apply more pressure where I have knots, such as my shoulder and back muscles, and he did just that. I like that he really focuses on the areas where you need it the most. There is also always a thin-layer sheet between his hands and the area that he massages. Even when he switched over to my neck and scalp, he had a separate cotton sheet that he used to massage my scalp. It was great, because for once I didn't feel the need to take a shower after my massage! Toshi is the BEST massage therapist ever. It is very convenient, I usually send Toshi a text message to schedule an appointment and if he is available, he will come to my house. He works from 9am to 12am, so he is available after hours. He doesn't mind driving long distance to his clients' houses. He drives all over LA and OC counties. He is also very considerate. He always asks if you have any pain, and he will spend extra time on that area. Even if you don't tell where the pain is, he can feel where the tight muscle is and works on that area. I have some beginning symptoms of carpal tunnel and Toshi really helps me to get over it. 6 months out of a year, I work 12-15 hours a day and I always get massage from Toshi once a week.
