Then it was cold and she wouldn't adjust it, which was just kind of a bummer. There was not a regular foot file part of the pedicure, so my heels don't have that nice feeling they usually do after a pedicure. My right big toenail was cut at a strange diagonal on one side (it had been straight across when I came in), and this is what my hands look like *three days* after the mani. (And I've barely even done dishes the last three days--no hard labor or anything. I can get over a week when I do my nails myself!) Just very odd and not a good experience, unfortunately. My left toes look good, so 1/4 of the mani-pedi turned out as one would hope?

This is a family owned business with 30+ years of experience. I most recently got a gel manicure that lasted over 2 weeks with no chips and I'm sure I could've gone another week or two. The services are very reasonably priced, the salon space is bright and clean, and they are very accommodating and friendly. I will continue coming to this salon as my first choice every time.

It was lackluster, as I had some pain in my upper back and shoulders I had asked to be worked on and it mostly just felt like she rubbed lotion on me. I mentioned at one point that she could do more on the pressure, but then it stayed the exact same. She never checked in to see if the pressure was okay or anything, which was a little disappointing. By the time we reached the end I was pretty bummed at the experience but I still tipped because it wasn't horrible--it just mostly felt like I was really moisturized after vs actually having my muscles worked on.

It was fine at first, I did have to wait a while to even get my nails started but I didn't mind since we did do a walk in. I got placed with one of their male employees which even at the start was not very helpful. He seemed to be annoyed by almost any request I had for my nails, but I didn't mind at first. I didn't have any "complaints" until I noticed one of my nails was put on crooked. I could tell by just looking at it closely that it was placed unevenly and this was before we even started the process since it was just the tips, so I didn't think it was a big deal to ask to get it fixed. I asked nicely if we were able to straighten it out a little and he asked me "Have you never got your nails done before?", he was trying to make it seem like it's normal for them to be crooked... Which I have never dealt with at another shop! I laughed it off tho, already feeling uncomfortable. It took him a really long time to shape my nails, I'd say the process took almost 2 hours which is long for me but really wasn't a big deal at the time. Then he started on my french tips, and I'm personally used to nail techs showing me them before they cure them. He didn't ask me how I felt about them and when he started on my next hand I was looking at my french tips and was very unhappy with how they turned out! I know they can't always be perfect, but they were visibly uneven, nail polish left below the french tip (on my pinky). I provided photos and you can tell they do not look good! After he was finished and cured the other hand, I asked if he was finished with the french tips, hoping he would mention smoothing them out later. But no, he said he was done with them. After that I asked him if he would be able to smooth them out for me, very nicely by the way! I was very nice throughout this whole ordeal, but I was left with nothing but attitude from this nail tech He started asking me what was wrong with them, and I was trying to explain how they are a little crooked and pointing them out. He then got louder, and at this point my friends could overhear him even though they were across the salon. He said "Do you want me to grab a magnifying glass so I can see your nails?" which he kept repeating. I immediately was uncomfortable and got quiet, asking if I could just get them fixed. At this point he shot up, and walked away from me saying someone else will do my nails. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional. This was a service that he was being paid for, and me asking for him to fix something that is just bad shouldn't be an issue. Who I think was the owner or person in charge was very nice, trying to say maybe he's in a bad mood and apologized to me. I was extremely upset at how he had just treated me and when I asked for his name, they avoided giving it to me at all costs. I only gave a 3 star review because of the other workers being nice to me after the other tech was rude. They only got super nice after I mentioned wanting his name, probably knowing I would write a review. The employee was a male probably 40s-50s, he had hair (I say this because another employee around his age doesn't), I know that's not much of a description, but it's all I can do without his name. I find it even more unprofessional that they didn't provide it to me, obviously trying to cover it up. I honestly wouldn't recommend coming here.

I had a very disappointing experience at Flagstaff Nail Salon and will not be returning…read more I called ahead to schedule an appointment for myself and my two kids. When I made the appointment, I specifically told Mary that I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure done at the same time so I could finish around the same time as my kids, who were getting basic manicures and pedicures. Mary confirmed this over the phone and told us to come in at 11:45 a.m. We arrived early at 11:35 a.m. and I reminded Mary that my appointment was supposed to include my manicure and pedicure at the same time. She immediately told me they couldn't do that but assured me not to worry because I would still finish at the same time as my kids. She seemed to be in a bad mood, so I didn't argue. The salon was packed, with many people already waiting. Even though we had an appointment, we waited over 35 minutes before anyone helped us. Around noon, they finally started my pedicure, and shortly afterward my kids' services began. After my pedicure, Mary took me to her station for my gel manicure. She was on her phone while removing my old gel polish and was extremely rough. I tried to tolerate the pain, but after about seven nails, it became unbearable. I politely asked if she could be a little gentler. Instead of responding professionally, she looked at me and said, "Go sit at station 7 so someone else can do your nails." I moved to station 7 and then had to wait another 35 minutes before someone finally came to finish my manicure. By that point, my kids had already been waiting for me for nearly an hour. Unfortunately, the manicure itself was rushed and poorly done. To make matters worse, when I went to pay, Mary handled the transaction rudely, shoved the receipt toward me without saying a word, and walked away. Appointments should mean something. If the salon couldn't accommodate what was promised over the phone, they should have been honest from the beginning instead of having us wait and completely disrupting our afternoon. Good customer service includes clear communication, professionalism, and treating customers with respect. Sadly, this experience had none of those qualities. I will never return, and I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience.
