BUYERS BEWARE. TnT Ranch and Sales aka Traci Davis, etc. are NOT to be trusted. I bought a horse, that I was told was SOLID in all ways. Specifically, I asked about farrier history, shoeing etc. And that is where I will start. This horse (I was told was last shoed in August of 2023). However, when this horse arrived it had front shoes on. Done the cheap way to make a sale. No rear shoes, and we all know there is generally a reason for that. Their farrier did not do a good job at all, there was a long crack on one of the front hooves, and I had specifically asked these questions but was LIED to! The horse had a crack most likely caused by an imbalance of the hoof capsule. Flaring was evident on medial side of both front feet. Symmetrical shoes were used on Asymmetrical feet. In other words, they did not fit and were no doubt going to spread that crack out further. Thanks to my farrier for helping there. However, as I was saying, the hind feet were not shoed. This was a concern. This horse had difficulty lifting it's right hind leg and hopped to try and gain balance. We noticed this horse had a spine twist and a hip hike - necessitating possible chiropractic care. Upon further inspection, the horse was extremely sensitive to pressure - long story short, this indicates a long term issue/injury. I have other concerns, such as the age of the horse vs what I was told, unable to confirm now, but am going to get a second opinion. I have some rather large vet bills and when I try to text Traci, I am now met with silence. The horse also came over on me the first day I rode him, lucky I am experienced enough to deal with that. I will say the next time I rode him, and even same day after he came over and landed on me, he did fine. But of course, this was a SOLID horse when I talked to them. They claimed that I saw the videos (when I first complained and they note this on their bill of sale) - but that doesn't mean much actually. I will get this horse better, lots of vet visits but I do caution anyone that if they can outright lie to me that easily, they can also do it to you. They are generally overpriced it seems, at least on this horse. And after all this, I generally feel really bad for the horse and so I will get him better and just hope it all turns out right. The foot care of this animal was not evident - and one last thing, we did get hind shoes on finally - but the hoof walls were so thin (flared from lack of care and poor trimming) that we had to use shoes with clips and epoxy. I am told these hooves will grow out and be ok. But the prior care was certainly absent. NONE of this shared with me during my discussions to purchase this horse. read more

I read many reviews before choosing to purchase a horse from this seller, not all of them good. I believe that each horse buyer does take some inherent risk no matter where they purchase a horse, there will always be scenarios where a horse has an injury that the vet didn't see, or showed up shortly after getting home. Things like that happen, and in my opinion, when shopping at a place that openly acknowledges they sell consigned horses, buyer must be aware of risks. If a buyer doesn't want that risk, do NOT buy from someone that openly acknowledges they sell consigned horses. My personal recommendation is to always have a vet check, and always test ride the horse. Many of the horror stories I've heard about any horse purchase come after one of those tips isn't followed. I believe Traci's 3 day vet check policy is fair. We were able to get our vet check the same day. Traci offered us to use her vet, she wasn't pushy about it, and I felt comfortable being able to use our own vet if i wanted to. She also allowed us to watch the vet check, and the vet was very informative, offered to do Xrays, etc. everything I would expect from a prepurchase check. We have had our gelding home for a few days, and he is everything we wanted, and so far, everything he was advertised as. Traci was professional and courteous through the entire process. I had a great experience purchasing a horse from TnT. They provided a number of videos for review, promptly answered my questions, and suggested horses that would meet my needs. I set up a time to evaluate 3 horses at their ranch, placed a deposit on one then flew out to Texas. Based on my evaluation in person, I ended up selecting another horse that was suggested by them. They helped set up transport and searched on my behalf for the best value. We had a great experience with Tracy. She is a horse broker. But we are very pleased with the gelding we purchased. We had him vet checked and he was super clean. I see a lot of complaints on here about her methods.... $100 for 3 day hold for a vet check is very reasonable. She doesn't pressure you to buy a horse. What she showed us was presented correctly. And she has a bunch to choose from. Most are not fancy broke. These are mostly green broke trail/ kid horses from what I can tell. They are priced reasonably. We would do business again with her! read more

I have done business with Traci Davis. I would recommend her to anyone. She knows her horses and the training they receive while at her place is just awesome. Some need it some don't. Tom & Traci Davis prey on unsuspecting novice horse lovers. I was asked to evaluate two horses purchased about a week ago from them by some nice folks in Weatherford, Tx. I am a professional trainer with four + decades of experience, but have to admit this was one of the worst examples of the classic "Horse Trader" scenario I've ever seen! These horses were each sold for, at minimum, $1200.00 over their actual value to this trusting family. Neither horse can be caught in the pasture without feed, & only then by a knowledgeable horse person, which these folks are not! Both horses are underweight - body scores of 3.5 is my educated guess, & show signs of malnutrition. The larger horse (paint gelding) is at least 5 years older than the age Traci stated to me by phone, & since she is a knowledgeable horse person, she has to know he has been a cribber for many years. None of that information was shared with the purchasers, based on my interview with them. The smaller horse (brown mare) was sold by Traci to be a child's horse, but shows a very ill temper when approached, even with feed. This mare is, by far, the more difficult one to catch, & appears to be just the opposite of what you would put a child on, if the child's safety is of any consequence to you! Traci claimed to me that she simply brokered these horses for people - The Paint from someone in Arkansas, the Brown from a person in Oklahoma. What this looks like is that Tom & Traci Davis pick these horses up at auctions & resell them for exorbitant prices, to people who don't know how to value a horse. The folks who bought these horses are afraid to confront Traci, but she should be run out of business. As soon as I figure out how to get that done, I'll get started doing just that. I know there have to be lots of people who have had bad business dealings with Tom & Traci Davis & have been taken advantage of by them. You all should complain to the authorities in Weatherford & Parker County. At least the complaints would be on record, that way. read more

I have very hard feelings after doing my last deal with Traci aka TNT Ranch. My boyfriend and I had a registered 6 yr old very well bred and trained gelding that we wanted to trade for another gelding that would suit my boyfriend better(him and the gelding didn't get along) and he found a gelding he liked, unfortunately, he was grade but aside from that, the gelding was a 4 year old and had 2 years of riding(supposedly) and was ready for a job. Did a trade and we paid $300 towards the gelding she had. So basically $2,800 for this grade gelding who was "ready" for a job. Got back home with this gelding and all was fine for a few weeks, didn't ride him just fed him and beefed him up cause he was scrawny looking and could use couple hundred pounds, after he gained weight, we sent him to the rope trainer cause he was "ready", as Traci said. First day at the trainer, not even 30 mins after leaving, my trainer texted me and said how awful this horse was and that he is not even ready to be rode. He bucked like crazy and when he wasn't bucking, he had no idea what the hell was going on. This horse had to be started over from the ground up, I went and got him from the trainer early due to him being crazy and not really rideable unless you had a death wish. Tried to tell Traci all of this and she denied it all and didn't want to trade back. After a few more weeks, I was out of town and came home, went out and had him tied up and I was trying to saddle him and he started raring up and almost pawed me in the head and then proceeded to set back, break the halter and start bucking like crazy with the saddle not even all the way on him..That was my breaking point. I texted Traci and tried to talk her Into a refund and get my old horse back, she finally agreed, however, it would be a straight trade. We wouldn't get back the $300 we put towards this piece of crap. Not to mention all the money down the drain to go all the way to weatherford twice from Houston and the rope trainer which was a complete waste. This past weekend, we went back to weatherford to do the swap and when we got there, the horse we traded was skin and bones and had lost a good 300 pounds and all of his muscle. Looked like he hadn't been fed at all. I'm guessing when she agreed to the trade back, she stopped taking care of him(took 2 weeks). So I will say, I will NEVER do business with them again. Very very crappy deal and am still not happy with any of it. Buyers beware. Just cause it looks good in the ad, doesn't mean it is. Purchased a horse from TnT Ranch that was described as "gentle, anyone can ride" and was rated with a temperament at a 1. When I got the horse it had a severe injury on its back hock that was still swollen. The injury was never disclosed to me. The horse is very pretty, but is very spooky and is definitely not even close to something that anyone can ride. I tried to contact Traci about my disappointment and didn't so much as receive a reply back. I would expect someone who cares about their clients and their business to first, disclose anything that might be wrong with one of their horses and second, try to right a situation that has gone wrong. They are clearly horse traders in it for the money. read more

I bought a horse from Traci Davis that was advertised as 8 years old. When I went to look at him I asked if he was completely sound and she assured me that he was. Her vet check policy is unreasonable ($100 NON-refundable to hold the horse for only 3 days), so I did not get one. Once I had the horse home and got the vet out to do routine maintenance it was discovered that he is 14 almost 15 and that he had an old injury to his stifle and he will never be able to be the trail horse that he was sold to me as. I contacted Traci immediately asking to return the horse and be refunded my money since he turned out to not be what he was advertised as. At first she tried to placate me by saying she was going to talk to the old owner, then she started to ignore me, and finally once I mentioned small claims court she became and angry and rude. I would never do business with this woman as she lies and is heartless enough to take advantage of someone buying their first horse. read more

Daughter and I purchased a horse from TNT ranch, Tried horse out rode fine at the ranch (based on my small amount of hores expertise) Trailered the horse home. Over about a 3 1/2 week period put about four saddles on the horse , 3 of those sessions were light ridding (Just getting to know the horse walk trot ) last session got the saddle pad wet. Day after last session horses left rear leg was locking up, dragging the ground. Vet said it was upper patella fixation. Currently treating with medicine (estrogen) for three weeks. If this will not fix the problem then surgery is recommended. Vet says there is a big horse place in Weatherford TX that deals with this surgery quite often. So I have mixed feelings on this situation., but here I stand with a high dollar horse (for me) that is lame after 4 saddles. But as there is nothing I can do at this point but move forward with the horse. (Buyer beware deal you buy it you own it.) I do have to ask myself, is this something I caused under my care? Doutful ! Is this something the person who cosigned the horse to the TNT ranch knew about? Somthing that the so called experts of TNT Ranch knew about. I guess at this point those questions really do not matter unless of course I am offered a full refund on the horse. If that happened then I would only be out about 500.00 for vet care. But I really do not see that happening. read more
