I've been to Tobacco Depot on bee ridge in sarasota several times and everytime i go there the associate guy wouldn't leave us alone.All the associates do the same thing The entire time we were in the store he followed us around and watched our every move like we were going to steal something. I just wanted to left alone to shop in peace, but he wouldn't stop with the small talk and following us around. I've visited Tobacco Depot stores for the last time. The last 2 times I shopped at the Bee Ridge location in Sarasota, the associate guy wouldn't leave us alone. The guy said they changed their whole sales system and couldn't sell or redeem gift cards. My kids bought me the gift card for my birthday and now they won't honor it. rude! im sure its a very nice place however the service was horrible. scanned my id announced my name and age loud to everyone in the store. i look younger however gives the store clerk no right to be rude check if im old enough and then ask if i need help not make a speculation out of me. i left without buying anything. read more

Tobacco depot isn't a bad cigar place. Really good selection, friendly people, good drinks, good prices. It doesn't have that certain something I like about most cigar lounge atmospheres, but maybe that's just my expectations. They have TV which is nice, and their staff is helpful. Very friendly staff, good, well organized selection, and very reasonable prices. They also have the best deal in town on Sundays. NFL Sunday ticket, two beers, two cigars, and all the great food you can handle, all for fifteen bucks. Last time I was there, they had ribs, and they were quite possibly the best ribs I've ever had. As for the cigars, you pick them yourself from their wide selection, no tiny, disappointing cigar menu. Same with the beer. This place feels less like you're in a cigar lounge, and more like you're in the well appointed home of a very gracious host. Great place to pick up a cigar any day, but if it's football season, you need to be here on Sunday. read more

What a horrible experience here... Came in looking for some simple pipe tobacco. I wish I knew the man's name behind the counter.. Older gentleman working Fri afternoon (12/16) He was SO rude! Talked so condescendingly to us, was not helpful, we actually left because we did not want to give him our business. Worst customer service we've ever seen, and we work in the service industry.
