My most recent visit here was on January 1, 2026. With this business being in a shopping center, parking was plentiful and didn't have any issues finding a place to park. I don't normally come to this area of the city often. I was here after visiting a business for breakfast, as I try to go to a new to me place every year on January 1st. One thing I noticed up front from the outside is that this looks to be an older location. The storefront and such doesn't look as updated as some of the other locations in the area. The functionality of the store overall is the same as the other locations. My mom and I came in to get some things while we were in that area. This would save us a trip to another place closer to home, so it was convenient in this instance. The inside of the store does look a bit dated, but they had the same general setup that you would expect at any Kroger location. One big difference here was that the staff were quick to ask us what we were looking for, even though we may not have been entirely sure. This was the case with any staff member we interacted with here. With the layout of the store being similar to other locations, the shopping trip didn't take as long we thought it might, since things tend to move around at each location. They were fully stocked on this visit too, which is something I don't always see. The prices are the same as other locations in the area from my experience. Overall, what made this place a better experience was the fact that the staff were proactive at asking us as customers to let us know what we were looking for and how they could help us in our shopping. This is something to this day that I don't see much of any longer. If you're in this part of the city and looking to get groceries and such, this place is a solid option to choose from.

The inside was just as crowded as the parking lot. I made my way to the ice cream section where they had a nice amount of ice cream options. But some of those ice cream containers were freezer burnt and icy. Like they've been there for centuries!! I do like that the Kroger brand is pretty cheap and had several flavors. The freezer section has select spots that looked like Antarctica. What in the ice age hell is going on? It's at all the Krogers I've been too. Turn the freezer down y'all!! Lol. The store had a good amount of items and the shelves were stocked. Their meat prices were a little steep on some things. $15 per lb for sandwich meat is something I'm still trying to get used to. But the quality seemed good. I found some big back chicken in the hot and ready section. I didn't feel like cooking so, this was the way to go. The chicken breast were pretty gargantuan in size. The breading was good. The meat inside was slightly bland but I used sauce and it worked out. I'd definitely get the chicken again. It looked appealing also. You'll find clearance items scattered throughout the store. They have a deli and nice bakery inside, as well as a sushi section. I like this Kroger. Check them out!!!

Food is okay just not in the summertime way to many flies !!…read more Service is hit or miss the workers can be very rude at times and have no phone etiquette. Outside my have ppl asking for change at times or just sketchy people around. All in all it's what you make it you can find your favorite childhood snacks, drinks and candies. Would recommend the subs.

Mr. Food Mart is your typical neighborhood corner store but on steroids. I'm not sure how long…read morethey've been in business but I moved to the area in 2002 and they were already a neighborhood fixture. They offer basic grocery items like milk, bread, canned and dry goods, snacks, sodas, beer, etc... You can also find basic health and first aid items, very basic automotive items, tobacco products, etc... Of course they sell all the Virginia lottery tickets and a good variety of scratch-off lottery games as well. The aisles are narrow and crowded and the whole place could probably benefit from a deep cleaning and some updating. So far I've described your average neighborhood corner store but Mr. Food Mart is so much more. You can pay your utility or cell phone bill here, you can cash a check or buy a money order. You can pick up a bag of ice or exchange the propane tank for your gas grill then pump your tire full of air. They also have a deli counter where you can purchase deli meats and cheeses by weight and have them sliced to your preference. Then there's the food. They have a full line of delicious cold and hot subs as well some pretty decent pizza by the slice or get the whole pie. There are no tables or chairs inside or out so it's strictly takeout. To place your order just come on in or call ahead to have it ready when you get there. Hot dogs, hot sausage, bbq - you can get it here and it's pretty darn good. They have a nice commercial pizza oven and they know how to use it. Honestly, their subs are pretty amazing. Try the Club or Fat Boy or or Italian subs. Personally, my favorite is the Philly Cheesesteak. There's plenty of juicy and tender meat seasoned just right on a beautifully toasted roll. It really is outstanding. All their subs come ATW (all the way) with lettuce, tomato, mayo and oil & vinegar. They even put out a pretty tasty gyro. It's loaded with tender seasoned meat and really delicious. The parking lot is mostly adequate but can get pretty crowded, fortunately there are nearby businesses with additional parking so it's never really an issue. Be aware this is a neighborhood store so small groups of people do sometimes congregate outside in front of the store to hang out for a few minutes but it's never a problem. I'm glad to have Mr. Food Mart in the neighborhood, it's a solid choice to pick up some essentials or grab a quick meal.

After unsuccessful attempts to include nicotine patches and nicotine gum the only obvious option to try next was vaping... When we first walked in we were greeted by their friendly staff. As soon as we mentioned it was our first time visiting Justin engaged us and was very informative and helpful. He asked Dave several questions to see which options were best for him. He educated us on the different mods. Dave didn't want a big bulky one. Instead he preferred one that could fit in his hand or pocket easily. Justin thoroughly explained all the different mod features. He ended up choosing the Smok AL85 which fit his hand nicely. Next, he sampled a few juices before choosing a flavor. Since he smoked menthols, Justin selected a few juices that contained menthol. After Dave purchased his new mod Justin showed him how to prime it before use. Again, he did a great job explaining the mod and all the different features. I thought it was pretty cool how it has a feature where you can control the amount of puffs you take in a day if you choose to set a limit. He even discussed the "proper" way to vape... with a practice session of inhaling prior to Dave taking his first puff. Overall, we were very satisfied with their service. I'm sure we will be back so stay tuned for my updated review!
