I can't thank Dr. Miller and her nurse enough for their services. They helped my dog cross that bridge with love and dignity.

We made contact with Dr. Susan through Lap of Love, as our Vet had recommended them. Dr. Susan was caring and professional throughout the process. As she eased Oliver out of her pain, she was a comfort at every step. We highly recommend Susan Lee DVM and Lap of Love to assist your pet in his/her transition.

Our baby girl who was 12, suffered a terrible aspiration pneumonia and subsequent Megaesophagus a little over a week ago. After 6 nights in the ICU at UF Vet school and us trying everything from oxygen to NG tube with tube feeds to IV fluids & IV antibiotics, our baby couldn't overcome the odds. I contacted Lap of Love this past Wednesday when we decided to withdraw care and take her home for the best few days we could offer her. Every hour we had her home was spent loving her. I had made an appointment for this morning so my husband, myself, & her nanny could be here holding her together. Dr. Anika came to our home & was so kind and gave us time & answering our questions.I set up everything for billing on the first call to them so this morning thankfully was just a signature. We opted for private cremation and they handled the rest. We were allowed to have our sweet girl outside on our back porch with the fan on her just as she loved most. After some pain meds with muscle relaxer & sedative, she made us a beautiful paw cast that she left us. Our baby girl felt no pain and was so peaceful. The heartbreak of losing a fur baby is so incredibly hard but knowing this company exists to do it peacefully in our home, surrounded by our pack, gave us peace. We are so grateful for what the staff and doctors do for those who have chosen to let their fur babies go with dignity and in their own environment. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts to everyone whom we interacted with for calls and at home.

On our first visit and with in two weeks our poor Tawny was cured and relieved of the skin condition that was driving her nuts. We Lost Tawny in 2012 and adopted another Cocker Buddy and he has been seen by Dr. Tracy and Dr.Pratt since He took over the animal Hospital in 2014. He and his staff has given our dog Buddy and our newest member Lucky a Shitzu excellent care and have always checked them out completely for preventive medicine. The Dr. and his staff have always treated myself and my wife with friendly, courteous support and help with questions and any problems. I would not trust and or us any other Veterinary Service. to me they are the best in the Lake City and Live Oak area. When we first moved to this area we tried two other services and were not impressed and The Animal Hospital was recommended to us and we have been with them and always will be as long as we have our pets. Best professional and knowledgeable Veterinary Practice n my book. I just wish I could give them ten stars.

I have been bringing my pets to this veterinary office since moving to Lake City about five years…read moreago. Unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing. The biggest issue has always been wait times. Despite arriving early for appointments, I have never been seen promptly. Typically, I wait 30-45 minutes in the lobby, then another 30 minutes or more in an exam room before seeing a veterinarian. On one occasion, I waited approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. The explanation is always the same: not enough doctors or technicians available. My confidence in this clinic was seriously shaken two years ago when I brought in my senior German Shepherd because she was breathing heavily. I was reassured that she was doing fine, yet her lungs were not thoroughly evaluated. Three days later, she passed away. While I understand that not every outcome can be predicted, that experience has stayed with me. The final straw occurred today. Earlier this week, I visited the office, picked up my dog's Simparica medication, and scheduled an appointment for 10:00 a.m. Unlike previous visits, I never received a confirmation text. I arrived early and waited until 10:30 a.m. before asking about the delay, only to be told that my appointment was supposedly scheduled for 11:00 a.m. No one informed me of this when I checked in, and no one acknowledged that I had already been sitting there for over an hour. Had someone communicated with me, I could have used that time elsewhere instead of waiting unnecessarily with a stressed dog in a crowded lobby. Another concern is that after the loss of my dog Hector, I specifically requested that reminder notices be stopped. Despite that request, I continued receiving reminders for appointments and vaccines for a pet who had already passed away. The prices at this clinic are certainly not inexpensive, and for those prices I expect better communication, better organization, and more respect for clients' time. After today's experience, I requested my pets' records and will be taking my business elsewhere. If long waits, poor communication, and a lack of attention to client concerns do not bother you, this clinic may work for you. For me, after five years of giving them opportunities to improve, I can no longer recommend them.
