My initial communications with people here in person were great. Towards the endi, it was incredibly frustrating that they would send out LONG standard responses asking you to review everything, yet on at least 3 occasions, did not even respond to my questions. Though we got what we wanted, I was incredibly disappointed at communications with this team. I tried going in person, over the phone and emails to get the message across. Luckily getting invitations is not a long process and we got beautiful invitations. In retrospect, I would have gone elsewhere because this is the only vendor that was frustrating to deal with. I'd recommend you do your research to shop around more than we did. Depending on what you want, you may not really save this much at this place. We budgeted $5 and spend close to $9....that said, we loved them.

I am not a huge DIY person so I didn't want to put my own invitations together. While searching around, I realized that adding a rhinestone to the invitation added a lot more cost. I am so glad I happened upon Stephita while searching online. I order invitation #917 because it was exactly what I wanted and so much cheaper than any of the stores that I was looking at in the US. Also, I did not have to pay tax since the store is based in Canada! Working with Stephita was also wonderful. Everyone was so nice and patient with me as I went through multiple proofs after changing my mind about one thing or another. The invitations came ahead of time and they even included extra envelopes and RSVP cards. I would recommend them 100%!

I do not want to write a harsh review about all the things that went wrong and disappointed us but I feel I owe this warning to future brides, as I would hate for someone else to make the same mistake we did (trusting all the reviews). Plus, Weddingwire removed our review. We ended up terminating our contract with Erin about 70 days before our wedding because we just could not justify paying her another cent of our savings as she was not doing anything to earn our money and the whole situation was making us more stressed, instead of her alleviating our stress. Only a few specific things I'd like to point out... - When we hired her in 2011 (we were just married in 2013), she was being advertised as a Toronto wedding planner, but heads up she does not live nor have an office in Toronto. That combined with our Mon-Fri 9-5 work schedules made it very difficult to meet with her about anything. - We ended up sourcing the majority of our vendors on our own despite paying for the full wedding planning package. - We thought we made it very clear from the start that we needed a planner not just to lend us their experience but to make sure we got things done because we were very unmotivated and not really into the whole wedding planning ordeal. Good thing I work really well under pressure because the only time things got done was when I realized how behind schedule we were and began to panic. (Side note, we almost missed paying the 2nd deposit to our venue. By fluke I saw the note in my wedding binder the night before. ...is that not something you would expect your wedding planner to remind you of?) As I said, I just wanted to post a review as a caution for future brides and not tarnish her reputation. We read nothing but excellent reviews on Erin, hired her and were very disappointed (stressed, and a few grand poorer). Erin was generally very pleasant and I'm sure she can execute a wedding day like sergeant. Unfortunately we didn't get the best of her though.

We were originally planning to have our small (immediate family members only) wedding at City Hall,…read moreand when I was searching for a venue to have a small dinner after I stumbled upon the Toronto Wedding Chapel. I am so glad that I did! It felt strange at first, leaving almost everything to others to plan - not even seeing my bouquet or the colours of the linens until 1/2 hour before the ceremony. The last week prior to the event, I even began to question whether I had made a huge mistake. When we got there and had a look at everything - it was absolutely perfect! I was amazed at how beautiful everything was. The ceremony was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and everyone involved on our day were so great, I can't even come up with words to describe it. Leading up to our big day, the staff always answered all my questions, whether by email or phone. They asked for pictures to get a sense of the colours we preferred and hit the nail on the head. We always felt accommodated and absolutely like ours was the only event they were planning. A special thank you to Katherine, who was absolutely amazing - knowing what to say to keep me calm, asking the right questions so she could correctly choose how to decorate for us, and having a great sense of humor. This venue is small - definitely not for a large wedding, but for the 18 guests we had, it was heaven. I absolutely recommend the Toronto Wedding Chapel if you have a small wedding that you want to be memorable but you're perhaps not the greatest at planning or just don't have the time. The only drawback was the photography. Unfortunately, about 20-30 pictures were pixelated and at least as many were blurry to some degree - however, they did send us almost 300 pictures (in less than a week!), so I refuse to give them less than 5 stars. The rest of the pictures (and there were a great many) were beautiful, and there were plenty to choose from. We had ordered centre pieces for all our tables, for the reception room tables, and for the ceremony site, as well as the flowers for the bridal party. I could not be happier with the outcome. The flowers were outstanding in quality, the arrangements were incredibly rich - she used a lot of flowers and did not spare any expenses to achieve the look I had asked for. Although I had only ordered centrepieces for the main ballroom, Naira went ahead and decorated the window panes and mantles of the entire ballroom with dozens of small vases and white flowers, matching my theme. I had not expected this; I had already paid for everything so she really did it because she simply thought it would make the room more beautiful. She seems to truly enjoy what she does and puts passion in it. She is very reasonably priced, especially for the high quality of the work she does. I would recommed Weddings by Ardeninan to anyone in heart beat! Thank you Naira!
