I submitted a receipt for an oil change reimbursement on May 23, 2025 and they told me it would take 4-6 weeks for me to receive that check. When I called after 6 weeks they told me the reimbursement was never processed but that they would go ahead and do that and send me a check. I waited another 6 weeks and called again and was told I needed to wait another couple weeks, so I did. Once again I called and was told the reimbursement check had been placed on hold but that it would be processed right away and would arrive in 4 weeks. 6 weeks later I called AGAIN (it's now September 8) and was just told that my check is scheduled for delivery on October 10 That's almost 5 MONTHS after I submitted my receipt, and several times being told that it was on its way. I'm glad I never had to submit a claim for something bigger than an oil change, I wouldn't trust this company to do anything correctly or on time. read more

I would like to as of March 3 I had a service contract with for at least five years. I've been paying faithfully every year never had a problem with my car. The first time I've ever had a problem with my car. It was a transmission issue. I did what they told me to do and take it to the dealership, which was Nissan I turned around to gave me the runaround. I've rented a car. They refuse to give me my money for the car that I rented they only gave me a fraction of the rental to add insult to injury only to give me $600 for transmission that cost 4000. I will never recommend this place to anyone if you do have their run run like your life your pockets depend on it at the end of the day there are other or other warranty companies like Endurance! Where do I start. Claims team is a joke. Not only do they not return calls they just don't bother to do their job. I have been given excuses from the Customer Service team on why Claims doesn't respond. From Team Meetings which closes down the entire company during business hours to an Emergency in Claims for not responding. I dont care about the excuses. I paid them for an Extended Warranty and they are not honoring the agreement. My car has been sitting at the dealer for over a week and nothing. The Claims Agent is non responsive and Customer Service is useless. We opened the claim with these TOCO guys who sent their examiner to the dealer to take a look at the car then they told me the claim is denied and that there is nothing wrong with car and that all it needs with oil change- they dealer gave me and gave them the report that identify the issue with the engine yet they still refused to cover and honor the contract. My car service is Martin is the adjuster Travis follow up for the case claim# 009290 . Stephanie customer service. Daniella supervisor to date with oil change done on time- all receipts were provided to them- they are just scammers and don't want to cover or pay anything. I spoke to the supervisor and I asked for their report that states that no issues with the car because I told them I'm taking them to court for failure to honor their contract and the refused to send it and told me they can't send any reports out. Well, first off, I'd like to thank Mr. Paul Uipi, customer service manager for his understanding of my issue and doing all in his power to make things right for me. I will honestly say that I thought all was lost. Mr. Uipi made sure I was satisfied and wanted to ensure me that Toco Warranty wanted to make things right and they did just that. Their attention to detail in the end and their offering to pay a portion of my vehicle service bill was generous and just. I'd like to thank them for their generosity. I have had extended coverage with TOCO Warranty for two years now and I am absolutely satisfied with them! My car gave me issues a few weeks ago and getting the repairs it needed was so easy. The staff at TOCO did everything they said they would and walked me through the process. Prior to TOCO, I was with another warranty company and they only took my money. I made my payments but when I had an issue, not only did they not follow through but they were rude. I definitely recommend TOCO! I was advised by a mechanic to purchase Toco auto warranty, as I depend on my car for my income. Two weeks ago, I took my 2014 Nissan Sentra into Pep Boys (Toco has a special arrangement w/ Pep Boys) because the car would not accelerate when I stepped on the gas pedal. Pep Boys informed me I need a new transmission. Toco sent an inspector out to look at the car, drained all of my transmission fluid- even though Pep Boys employees warned him the car would nor be driveable. After a week in the shop, Toco cancelled my warranty, left me with a totally useless car, and basically out of a job ecause I am an Uber driver. Toco left me totally screwed. RUN! read more

You have to be stuck and your car totally dead before they will authorize a claim on your car. My car would not start, had to have it towed to the shop. A starter can start sometimes and not other times but will ultimately die and you'll be stuck where it goes out!!! Just hope it's not in the middle of nowhere!!! My mechanic says it's just a matter of time, and likely a short time before it will go out! So far, this company has been worthless. I had them for 3 years and renewed with them a few months back...never have had them pay a claim....and when it's more than obvious this needs to be fixed....they won't!! I have had them now for over 3 years....other than the $53.50, I've yet to have a claim covered. Twice I've filed a claim in 3+ years, and have yet to have one paid. I hope I won't have to use them again....but if I do...will update if the next one, should there be one, is actually paid! Again...I won't disagree that Toco did make a good faith effort to resolve the issue I have with them! A lot of companies wouldn't do as much....regardless...the 1st claim I had was denied, as apparently the part was not covered....this second claim on the other hand....both are in fact covered items....but because Both, as my mechanic told me, can be intermittent failures...but ultimately it WILL fail.... We have had Toco Warranty for 8 months on our 2007 Jeep Wrangler. We have had it in the shop a total of three times during these 8 months. Once for a radiator leak, and once for a new clutch. which were all denied payment. The third time in the shop and has been sitting there for a week and a half needing a new transmission. After being given the run around for 4 days by Toco and their so called claims department. A Supervisor by the name of Paul said that their seems to be a preexisting condition with the Jeep since it was in the shop 2 prior times for things that didn't have anything to do with the transmission, He says that they cant honor the warranty for that reason. I purchased a Car Warranty from Toco in December of 2021. I felt solid about their BBB Rating, as most people would. I got a malfunction code telling me the Brake Pump was failing, so wisely I rushed to my Mechanic. Bad brakes; that's life threatening! Toco initially agreed to send out a Technician, then they rescinded the offer. Their justification is that "technically it isnt broken yet". Think on that; they want the brake pump to completely fail first, then they'll look at it. So I called Toco and a wonderful woman with a winning work ethic named Jessica advised me that "We're not forcing you to drive your car with the bad brake pump". Doesn't that just warm your heart? I mean the Humanity was gushing with the care and respect you expect from an A+ Rated company with the BBB. To my surprise I got a message to call them. So today 10/06/22 I called a Rep named Brittany. I said that lets suppose theres a single mother with 3 kids that is less fortunate than me and she has a faulty brake pump, what do you think she'll do if you tell her that her brake pump has to fail before you'll fix it? Well she can't afford it, and she only has one car, so shes going to drive it till it completely fails. What choice does she have? It may fail at her home, on the street, on a highway, in a busy intersection with a child clutching mommy's hand walking by right before the brakes fail. I said to Brittany "Do you think that's right?" And I promise you, you can't even make up a story like this, she immediately replied without hesitation "I can't answer that!". It was like being in a Senate hearing testifying under oath and pleading the 5th to avoid self incrimination! I thanked her for wasting my time, but I assured her I'd be working with a law firm and the legislators in my jurisdiction and The FTC to consider the needless risks these warranty companies force their customers to confront. Because in times like these when we're already beaten down by inflation and economic hardship our Elected Officials must step up. I ask anyone facing an issue with faulty equipment that presents a life threatening situation because Toco or any other Car Warranty company for that matter refuses to service a part till it breaks down completely to respond to this review. Even though the've likely locked you into an Arbitration Clause to avoid Class Action Lawsuits, The FTC and your local State Attorneys office can and will still be able to file suit or mandate changes to Extended Car Warranty Companies policies if enough of us contact them. Watch out here. Read the fine print. After my FIRST claim the tricks began. I needed a repair on my 2007 VW bug. When TOCO found out it needed to be rebuilt, TOCO sent a USED transmission with over 90,000 miles from a JUNK YARD to be installed in my car. I was told I should have read the fine print.
