** UPDATING MY REVIEW** Since posting my review, the…read morebusiness owner has refused to clarify the increase in pricing, has chosen not to rectify the issue, and unprofessionally responded by saying, "We're done here." Why do you pretend to provide "exemplary" service when it is evident that you do nothing to retain your clients and will find unlawful means to increase their premiums? After all, I have no other reason to suspect the legitimacy to the increases if neither your admin assistant, account executive, nor your own business owner can provide the true pricing. Very interesting... Attaching photos of our email correspondence providing the exemplary service we received from them. ---------------- This has been a disappointing experience, to say the least. We have held insurance with Mercury for over 11 years with little to no concerns until recently. We revised a few items on our policy and resulted in savings of over $500 for our renewal. We received a call from Stella not even 2 weeks later to discuss that our policy was going back up because they increased our default mileage and a few other issues like moving addresses in the amount of $297. Both policyholders work from home and drive less than 4000 miles annually COMBINED but they alleged that 12000 was the minimum/default for which we could not challenge or contest. I then looped in Margarita, our assigned agent, to provide further clarity. Of course, I got a poorly punctuated and unprofessional email response basically stating that they could do whatever they want because California allowed them to increase premiums. Okay... literally not what I asked for. How hard is it to provide line item details for each added charge with specific justifications for each? Adding a blanket $356 premium and stating "it's cuz of ABC" is insufficient. I question whether or not the agents even know what they're talking about half the time. I understand that working for insurance is less than thrilling but when your website says that you "think of the customer first" and your response to us saying we are cancelling our policy is "ok here is all you have to do" then is that really thinking about customers first or just you doing the motions of your less than glamorous job? Seems like businesses these days just throw the word "customer service" out there without actually providing good customer service. In any case, we will be cancelling our policy as this is evidently how our insurance company rewards us for our tenure and loyalty. Lower our premiums to save money and then call us back to increase it 2 weeks later without providing specific reasoning and pricing upon further inquiries. Love that. Will be saving over $500 with our new agency and look forward to cutting ties with Trident as they don't obviously care about us or our business. What a shame.
