Wanting something other than water to sip on while walking through Wallace, Idaho, I stopped into Todd's Bookstore & Coffee to order an Iced Chai. The girl at the counter completely lacked customer service skills, avoided eye contact, and generally seemed bothered to be helping a customer. Cute space, but they seriously need to train on customer service skills. Also, $6+ is expensive for an Iced Chai. I won't be back. There are several other options for coffee in this town. A very fun shop with all the things I love. Coffee, books, and fun clothing. We were greeted by two friendly young people who were eager to help us. We stopped foremost for coffee, which did not disappoint. After coffee, we pursued the clothing and books. Good selections. A very fun and friendly atmosphere. My favorite. Seriously tired & chlled after a long mountain bike ride, desperately wanted hot coffee and a snack. Being that it was almost 4 PM I did not expect to find any such thing open in Wallace, ID. Drove through, saw a couple of coffee places... closed. Saw this place, couldn't believe it was open, went in, beautiful spacious interior, excellent coffee, good baked goods, and plopped down in a comfy chair in the loft, connected to wi-fi. Heaven! Fun stuff in the Don't know if it's Todd's or the Blackboard that gets the credit, or rather they're one & the same. We are definitely going back, trying dinner at the Blackboard next time. read more
