Saw multiple signs on the road during our trip across the country and decided to stop at the St Regis Travel Center to try their well advertised "Best Shake Ever" (the huckleberry shake). It was essentially vanilla soft serve with huckleberry jam/preserve mixed in-- it's a good milkshake for $7. The travel center itself has a bunch of random but cute/kitschy things like t shirts, dresses, wooden ducks, toys, crocheted animals, and tons of other things. This is definitely a must stop on any trip from Spokane to Glacier. It's more than a gas station. It's more than a convenience store. But, also--it's both of those things. On a long road trip from MN to OR. Needed gas and to stretch our legs. Saw the billboards for their huckleberry shakes so we decided to stop. Browsing the gift shop was fun and we walked away with a couple small things. You'll find lots of apparel, toys, jewelry, home decor, and of course huckleberry goods. They have fudge as well as a grill with hot food, and an attached convenience store with snacks and beverages. Restrooms are okay; they even have one gender neutral one. There's a casino. It is hard to drive past the travel center as they have posted dozens of billboards along the way, letting you know that it's 50 miles, 40 miles, 10 miles, etc. So with the advertising pulling me in, I stopped here. I was able to resist the siren call of the huckleberry shakes. Lots of interesting shopping with many local mementoes and hand-made art for sale. Thankfully, the restrooms were clean and the wifi worked okay for a bit. I didn't manage to find anywhere to plug in and charge my phone but that wasn't the reason I stopped. This place is much bigger than it looks from the outside - lots of fun gifts and souvenirs to check out. And the huckleberry shakes live up to the hype, definitely get one! The trout aquarium wasn't as big as I expected, but still fun to look at. If you drive an EV, be aware that there is a Tesla charging station in the larger parking lot across the street, but it's not yet fitted with adaptors so, unless you have your own, you can't plug in your non-Tesla vehicle. I was under strict orders from a local friend to make the hour long drive to pick up a few shakes to try and that she guaranteed I wouldn't regret a thing. She was absolutely right. These were delicious. I wish I'd picked up other huckleberry goodies too while I was here because there was SO MUCH!! Had I known there was no sales tax I would've taken greater advantage lol As a travel center gift shop, this really is the place to be. Lots of clothing, souvenirs, gifts, food, even a novelty aquarium with a photo op for people to go inside and "swim" with the fish. This place is huge!!! We saw a billboard on our travels and had to stop when we saw "Huckleberry milkshake". It was worth our stop! There is also a really cool fish tank with trout in it. Perfect for pictures and learning more about them. You could spend hours shopping and looking at everything. Downfall... there isn't much parking especially if you are in an RV. This is my Ultimate Favorite stop on I-90. Exit 33 in Montana. I'm so happy they have the ConocoPhillips Gas Station, a restaurant called Jasper's, huge gift shop, Cutthroat Henry's casino and Talking Bird Saloon Bar all in 1 building. There is Semi and RV parking across the street with 2 mini private fenced dog parks. I did enjoy taking an exclusive break here starting with the Gift shop. You can find anything in this wonderful, delightful store from clothes to Huckleberry honey and jams to furry moose mountain slippers. I enjoying watching the life sized trout tank. Next, grabbed a bite to eat Jaspers and I must say the Fish n Chips was outta this world and was really tasty and good. And then I tried an Infamous Huckleberry shake which is just simply Yummy and justified. I can not tell you how happy I am to make this a normal stop for me every time I'm passing. It is highly recommended to make this a stop. All of the staff were just amazingly friendly and of course as expected clean, upgraded restrooms. I am still a little overwhelmed, or confused, or I don't even know what after my visit to this "don't call it a gas station" mega convenience store travel center gas station gift shop. We were passing through and linking up with the highway, and thought ya, we could stop for a potty break. Little did we know that we had stumbled upon the M.O.A.P.Bs (Mother Of All Potty Breaks). Yes, you can get gas. Yes, you can get food at the restaurant. Yes, you can buy gifts and clothing and knickknacks and decor and I mean, just about anything. Oh and yes you can also use the potty. But boy howdy, don't you dare think there's no huckleberry available because you have all the huckleberry things. All of them. Every last one. Ice cream and prepared food and jams and I mean everything. Most folks will get the huckleberry shake and though that wasn't on our checklist, I can say from other experiences elsewhere that it's a good way to go. We walked around the entire place and marveled at how big and random it was and how it's a bit over the top, but here I am a few weeks later thinking about it, so probably you ought to stop in once for yourself and see what it's about. read more

If you are traveling on I-90 thru the great state of MT, you have to stop by Huck's Grill located inside the St Regis Visitor center!!
