However children who challenge us I have come to find have a capacity of great intelligence and it shouldn't be reprimanded but instead guided with great love and patience so that the potential is not stunted but instead flourishes. At CMSG, Athena had flourished beyond my expectations. Her socialization with her peers had improved her verbal communication immensely within weeks. And after months, after keen monitoring, her interests guided her to her strengths and in which case was mathematics. Athena was in preschool age counting, adding, subtracting and even multiplying. Imagine the feeling of asking your preschooler what was 2 x 3 and they know! I was astounded. It only goes to show the value of the Montessori Method, that running with the interest and personal strengths of the child optimizes learning. It's very intuitive and requires a love which there was an abundance of with the CMSG family. She made great friends and was introduced beautifully to cultural diversity which promotes community value and respect on a larger scale. These are the foundations in children I feel are overlooked and undervalued in public schools. It wasn't easy making the tuition but I will absolutely stand by the fact it was worth every penny. Giving your child a solid head-start is priceless and as a parent we want to give our children the best. I believe CMSG was the best decision we made for our baby. I love Julie and Dan and have great faith in them to root your child(ren) well for their best beginning. ‍

The best part is that the children are learning a lot, in both English and Spanish which is a huge bonus! There is a set curriculum. I feel like my wife and I dodged a bad situation bringing our child here. The professionalism is…read moreextremely lacking. If they can't get something as simple as customer service and being professional in order why would I entrust them with my kid? At first we called the Downey location but they said there was a waitlist of 1 year but that the MLK location would have IMMEDIATE enrollment. We didn't mind joining the waitlist for Downey while still enrolling our child at the MLK location. Downey is on the way to where I work and though MLK is a bit out of the at but I would have made it work for the time being until Downey had a spot. Downey location sent me a PDF form that already had another family information all over it-clearly a violation of their privacy as now I had their name, address, child's name and other sensitive information. Emailed Helia back letting her know but received no response. I proceeded to try to call MLK; the phone would ring and ring and then it would disconnect as if someone was denying the call or picking up and hanging up. I then decided to use the texting service that they claim "responds in minutes." Yes, maybe the automated portion responds in minutes but as soon as a live agent takes over it's an extremely long wait. 4:15pm someone tells me to "hold on while I connect you with someone who can help..." 4:26pm I ask "how long should I wait?" 5:30pm didn't have anyone connected so I messaged back "hello." 7:15am the next day someone replies back without even acknowledging the wait. I didn't mention it until the information I received that there would be a waitlist for about 6 months at MLK. What happened to IMMEDIATE enrollment? Then they have the nerve to tell me that using the online chat is the quickest way to get a response, not calling or texting. Why do you have phone numbers listed and text services available if it's a terrible way to communicate with you? What if there's an emergency that I need to pick up my child? Yea, no thanks but this place is a hard pass. They might be affordable compared to other care centers but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." TLDR; There is a major disconnect between centers even though they claim to be affiliated. They have no regard for privacy since they blindly send out forms without checking if there is another families information on them. Their customer service is abysmal since they didn't pick up multiple phone calls and left me waiting for more than 12 hours on the text service or respond to emails.

As a first time mom, I had a really hard time looking for a daycare and trusting someone that I don't know with my baby. After my friend referred me to Teeny Tots, I went through a thorough interview process and had a tour of the preschool. Mrs. Tina took extra time to show us around and answer all our questions, she also played with my son and he felt comfortable around her. We gave Teeny Tots a try and that was the best decision we made for our baby. My son attended Teeny Tots for 3.5 years and it became his second home. This preschool has a strong emphasis in teaching and developing the age appropriate skills including emotional intelligence, alphabet, colors, shapes, counting, art, public speaking, etc, but most importantly it provides a safe and loving environment for the little ones. I love that every day/week has a specific schedule and all the kids are following the routine. Mrs. Tina and Mrs. Tammy organize fun events throughout the year including birthday and holiday celebrations, water play days, field trips, movie nights and even family events. They always go above and beyond to make every kid feel special. I cried after I dropped off my son at Teeny Tots the first time when he was 18months old and I cried again the day he graduated from there. I am so grateful to amazing Mrs. Tina and Miss Tammy for everything they did for my son and I truly hope that his "big school" teachers will be as great as they are because Teeny Tots set up the bar really high. We are so lucky that our son's school journey started at Teeny Tots because it is truly special.

Enrolling our then 2 yr old here was the best decision as we've seen her grown to be independent, social and kind. One thing that amazed us was with Miss Tina and Miss Tammy's extensive background in early childhood education. They put 10000% effort in their program and make each learning experience fun! The class sizes are not too big and ratios are nice making it an ideal setting. Hours of operation is also very ideal for parents with long hours. The teachers take time to share highlights of our child's day which we love to hear all the time! Their cleaning standard is also golden as they disinfect and deep clean the premises routinely which put our minds at ease. This takes up extra time for them too but they only, truly want the best for the kids. We had nothing but the most wonderful experience at Teeny Tots. My husband and I highly encourage parents looking for care to check them out!

We were admittedly nervous to go to a different co-op, thinking they'd be similar in operations. But they couldn't be more different and couldn't be more pleasantly surprised by the organization and kindness of the staff at Sand Tots. They are prepared, thoughtful, and generous in how they treat the kids, how they consider playfulness and activities for the children and how they engage the parents. We love how play-based Sand Tots is, their emphasis on social-emotional development and how they artfully navigated preparing our oldest for Kindergarten but in a fun and still playful way. We are just so grateful to have found our preschool home for our youngest. Co-ops are inherently more "work" than a traditional preschool or daycare experience for parents. It's not for everyone, and yet, if you're willing (and able!) to participate, it fosters a sincerely wonderful community amongst like-minded parents. Our oldest graduated from Sand Tots, but the families that we were in class with are people we still see weekly and who have become dear friends, not only to our son but to us as parents as well. They have become some of our dearest friends, spending time together with and without our kiddos. I trust them with loving and caring for my kids as I would. Genuine parent community is hard to come by, but to discover it here has been one of the best gifts. We love Sand Tots so much!
