He was polite over the phone but once we got to the store he was very rude. The girl that worked for the organization that helped us was very kind, she expressed that she was unaware of the procedures, but would do her best and call him. I could hear him aggressively speaking to her through the phone. The phone was not on speaker and he was loud enough for me to still hear. Any person who thinks it's okay to speak to employees/volunteers in that manner is not someone I want to do business with. He also failed to mention key points of the adoption process over the phone knowing that we were driving out of the way to get there. The individual employees in store were fantastic, but I would not be looking for animals with him again. I instead recommend Cherokee animal shelter in canton off Univiter, we have adopted both of our cats from there and they have always been incredible and warm. For cats over the age of 6months the adoption is free, but you can provide donations to keep them going.They are a place that you know just want to provide loving homes, you can feel it in the atmosphere that every person working there loves their job and animals.

She was also rude to the graduate and was butting in her and her brother's conversation. She acted like she got shot when I gave her a shirt and she told me to give it without the hanger, it wasn't even mine, it was the graduate's. I genuinely don't understand why she was being an ass, it's not like she's doing her job for free. That ruined my friend's night. The place was nice, a bit pricey but not a surprise. As far as the price I think they are right on point. For example I collect mid century brooches and AOTS's prices were exactly what the market place would sell them for these days. They had a rotary black telephone in working condition for $65 which I though was cheap. Most of what I've seen in that condition were going for $85 and up. As for their refurbished typewriters-I think AOTS's are a bargain. Most of their typewriters are in excellent conditions and from what I saw they were priced at a fair price. You do get what you pay for on an antique typewriter. Yes you can get one on ebay for $85 but you don't know what kind of condition it is in. It's better to get one refurbished by a skilled technician otherwise you minds well toss your $85 bucks out the window....besides do you know a typewriter technicians? I mean who services these things anymore? exactly....actually I do know one. My friends and I came in looking for movie soundtracks, and while we were looking, a tall, older…read moreman approached us and asked if we were the girls who had been looking through them. I said yes, and he immediately responded, "No, no, no, let's put these back," speaking to us in an extremely condescending and disrespectful way, as if we were children who had done something wrong. After we put everything back and were getting ready to leave, he then said, "Let's see if you girls are true to your word." The entire interaction was incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate. He repeatedly looked us up and down while talking to us, which made it very clear that this was not simply an employee doing his job. We are young girls, and the way he was speaking to and looking at us was completely unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was seeing his male coworker with long brown hair laughing while he was talking to us. Watching another employee find the situation funny instead of recognizing how uncomfortable and inappropriate it was was honestly disgusting. If this is how your employees treat young female customers, there is a serious problem. We came in to look at movie soundtracks, not to be talked down to, scrutinized, or made uncomfortable by an older man who seemed far more interested in us than the products we were looking at. Employees should make customers feel welcome and safe not embarrassed, intimidated, or sexualized. This entire interaction was completely inappropriate and needs to be addressed.
