Laugh all you want but yes I'm seriously going to be writing about how much I love their garlic fried rice. So perhaps its great skill (and... MSG? Haha) that makes their garlic fried rice taste sooo good. But then again, I personally find it pretty challenging to make a great plate of garlic sinangag. And, how to make those perfectly brown garlic bits without burning them? All of these are too complicated for my meager kitchen skills.
So what's suitable for vegans and great to pair with the garlic fried rice? They have a stellar mapo tofu dish (omit meat, chicken powder, you know the drill) that just complements the rice in both taste and texture. Also, do get their garlic stir-fried broccoli--it's perfectly cooked, still firm with the right amount of crunch. read more
