The place looks really nice but don't be fooled. This was my second attempt after coming a few years ago and it was once again disappointing.

We went there for a late night dinner (like, 9pm) for mole, apps, and marags. The menu is robust - featuring everything from chile en nogada and fideo seco to cochinita pibil and cecina (a salted and cured style of meat by way of Spanish tradition). We had great service and food, and I would definitely return for daytime dining to enjoy the patio views.

My friends and I went to La Cueva for some cocktails and dinner. This is a cocktail bar with no restaurant-style seating. So we filled up on small plates of ceviche, tostadas de atun, and guacamole (with chapulines on the side for the skurd Americanos). I'm not a huge fan of chapulines (grasshoppers) but La Cueva makes the best I've tasted to date! They must be seasoned in soy sauce or Maggi's.... delicioso! We had three craft cocktails (really, four, because one specific drink was BOGO), three apps; and our bill was $50. Well worth the food/drink/service/atmosphere and experience.
