Soggy sushi

1/10 on the rice 4/10 on the sweet and sour chicken Seeing my boyfriend gag while trying the sushi... Priceless. BUT a solid 10/10 on the chicken fingers we made afterwards. Won't be back again.

Wow Super Great spot to hit in town. Usually I just drive through on my way to Windsor but I'm really glad I read I read the comments on Yelp about this place. The special sushi rolls are so tasty. This is what I ate: Crab Legs 10 calamari pcs 10 shrimp tempura 5 crab tempura 2 spicy dragon rolls 1 rock and roll - get this it's really good 3 teriyaki salmon Deep fried wontons - wouldn't get again it was just cream cheese no veggies inside Good thing I was hungry after the gym!!

The menu, if you can read it

A good selection of Japanese food here. The salmon sashimi is good, unagi (broiled bbq eel) is very good too, and the tempura is tasty.

The chef was very entertaining and did a great job keeping the boys engaged the whole time. They loved watching the cooking and all the tricks at the table. The food was really good and exactly what you would expect from a hibachi-style restaurant. Everything came out hot and tasted great. Overall, it was a fun family experience, and we're glad we went. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Once seated our waitress was very attentive getting drinks and taking orders. They brought out the mushroom soup and she even brought ice cubes for the kids to cool down their soup. The next course is the ginger salad. After the starting course the chef comes over to cook on the main grill for the hibachi experience. The cooking is enjoyable to watch and they make it fun for the table with interactions. The food overall was good. They give you great portion sizes. I felt like they put too much sauce on the meat, rice and vegetables. It felt like a sodium overload and I didn't even really want to use the side sauces since everything was already overloaded.

Hana - Nice menu

Been here a couple times since moving back to Sarnia and I've not been impressed with Hana so far…read more The rolls aren't consistent, not even how they're made from visit to visit (the Lambton roll, I think it was called, was a regular maki roll one time and then a sliced up hand roll the second time?). Some of them, like the crispy spicy salmon (a staple of mine) are pitifully small, like what you'd get at a grocery bento. On one of my visits there was only a handful of tables sitting in and they still missed 1 of 6 items I ordered. I try not to knock AYCE places too much for that if it's busy or if my table has ordered a lot of items, but I didn't think either applied here. Plus the staff were looking aimless and I had to flag them down to get my drink refilled. Nothing I ate tasted bad and, individually, the rolls are good. But the overall experience I've had both times here was underwhelming, I suppose. I've just moved back from London, ON where there was obviously better selection, but of the sushi places Sarnia has gained since a few years ago, there's better options than Hana in town.

If you have never been out of Sarnia, and this was the only AYCE sushi place you have ever been to,…read moreyou might not know how bad this is. In the rest of the world, they don't cut the fish paper thin so you can't taste it. They don't point the katsu so thin that the breading is thicker than the meat in both sides. The spice crispy salmon rolls are not filled with the crumbs so that you can't taste not taste the salmon and it's like eating a spoonful of bread crumbs. They are skimping so much on the important parts that it just kills the meal. Very poorly done.... Not up to any standards

There are options for sitting at the hibachi table or in the dining room. We chose the hibachi and we're joining by five other new friends. The hibachi is entertaining for anyone that has never been there. It's a great way to celebrate a birthday or a special occasion, particularly for kids. There are options on the menu for sushi, appetizers, in addition to the hibachi specials. The hibachi specials are prepared right in front of you and you can choose from variety of proteins that includes chicken, beef, shrimp, scallops to name a few. All dishes come with rice and vegetables soup and a salad. Potions are very generous. This location does offer a full bar and our service were pretty attentive and we didn't wait too long for anything. The only exception was that I didn't feel the restaurant was exceptionally clean, which is probably due to the hibachi cooking grease. Floors were slippery, curtains separating dining room from bathrooms were in serious need of laundering. If you're looking for a meal where you can have a little fun and not too concerned about housekeeping, you can find a decent meal at this location.

The miso soup and the ginger salad are incredible. I'm always amazing by the cooking skills of the…read moreHibachi chefs. Of course there are some more fancier than others but they do a great job here and try to keep you entertained all while serving you food. We had enough food to take some home. I'd definitely return as the entire experience here was lovely.

I had a pineapple suju, which I think was way cheaper at the grocery store, but that is okay, it went well with the meal. They have many things on their menu, and they give you an ipad to order, but not everything on the menu was on the ipad, so I ordered a couple things in person with the waitstaff and thus did not pay on the ipad (I image you are able to, but we needed a paper bill since a couple items were not included). I love the serve yourself bonchon, their items were so good. The kimchi was pretty sour, the fishcakes and kimchi pancakes were my favorite. I love the cucumbers, especially the one with sliced jalapeños. Those were so good. We got a couple sushi rolls, some black bean noodles, spicy pork, soy garlic popcorn chicken, ramen, and a chicken bao. The only thing I was not overly impressed with was the bao, it was just the popcorn chicken and not worth the price. But they rest, I felt the prices were great and the portions were big. They also had tea, which was nice. This is a great place and I look forward to visiting again soon.
