The food is served buffet style and you will be more than full if you try everything. Light lunch (7,9€) includes the salad buffet, soup and dessert (+bread + coffee). The homefood lunch (9,90€) includes the previous plus the warm foods buffet. Both are well worth the money. The students cook and serve all the food and since they practice how to function in a real restaurant setting, they will ask you what you'd like to drink and bring the drinks to the table. There's a lot more staff also than in a normal lunch restaurant and the level of service is very good. So, the food's good and the service is good, so try it! I often come here around 11 am or even a bit before when it's still quiet. The small portion has always been enough for me. Bengol isn't your usual Indian buffet but instead you: 1. grab your tray 2. fill a glass of water 3. take a small raita cup and a small salad cup 4. tell the waiter if you want large (9,50e) or small (8,50e) portion 5. pick which currys you'd like with the rice 6. choose whether to take the naan bread or not 7. pay 8. if you like spicy, add some mango chutney (yum!) and fresh coriander to your plate 9. sit down & enjoy 10. grab coffee 11. return your tray on your way out The currys are delicious. I like to come here at least once a week if possible. Edit: The naan bread used to "the best in Tampere" but nowadays it is just "Ok". But half a naan bread is still a nice addition to your meal. Being relatively new to Tampere, I've been surprised at the number of places advertising hot wings…read more I heard SiipiWeikot was *the* place to go, so I decided to pay a visit on a Wednesday night with a friend. The dining and bar area on the second floor definitely has a rustic pub feeling that fits the unassuming facade. The place wasn't crowded, and we easily found a table and placed an order. The beer selection is rather limited -- Foster's seems to be the norm, and Krušovice Cerne for the dark beer. I had one of each throughout the meal. I ordered 20 wings with medium spice, and we shared an order of fries. Perhaps it's because I'm used to mutant chickens in the USA, but I was disappointed that the wings were quite small. They were accompanied by the usual suspects -- blue cheese dipping sauce, celery, carrots. I will say the sauce was quite tasty, but "medium" is very medium in this case -- don't fear the spice here. I'm glad I visited SiipiWeikot, but for me it didn't really live up to the hype -- feels like an average wings place. Worth a visit, but next time I'll branch out and see what else Tampere wings joints have to offer.
