Got all testing done prior to conceiving. Dr. Singer never told me that I'm a carrier for hemophilia. Went on to conceive naturally and now am due with a baby, who was diagnosed with severe hemophilia. My baby will have to live off infusions for the rest of his life due to Dr. Singer not mentioning my carrier status. How does a doctor not tell you this information? Horrible experience. read more

Dr. Singer and his entire staff are wonderful and caring. Dr. Singer is a professional, knowledgeable and devoted reproductive endocrinologist, and most importantly- he shows results!! He has an excellent bedside manner and has made a point to call me and check up on me personally after going through procedures and when I had a very difficult decision to make about my pregnancy. Doctor Singer is an incredible infertility professional. We came to him after almost 2 years of infertility treatments with 3 other doctors , including of an IVF treatment with another highly regarded doctor that did not succeeded. From the beginning , Doctor Singer was extremely professional and gave us a very comfortable and assuring feeling. He was professional and sensitive through out of the whole process and the team in his clinic was great as well. The doctor has a busy schedule but he was always available to meet us when needed , including a daily visit over the pre-IVF week. Often , he called me personally after major steps in addition to his nurses whom would call every time. We got pregnant after 1 cycle of IVF and are happily expecting our 1st baby. Please read this, it is more important for all of us to know. - What if things are not going the way we expected in our treatments??? I wish I could write a good review even if the reproduction attempt was unfruitful, indicating how great this office was to us, despite the failed attempt, we know they did everything on their end to help us every step of the way, show their support, future guidance etc. but this is not the case here at all. I know it is a little extreme to indicate only one star review when some others granted 5 stars. But based on our empirical experienced with Dr. Tomer Singer, left us no other alternative but express our feelings and concerns here on this website. This is my first time writing a review online, many times I known for saying Thank You in a very creative ways to support organizations or to demonstrate a satisfaction for any type of great service provided to us in the past. However since these terrible treatments that affected my wife until today, I felt this is the least I can do to spread the word and make other patients aware or at least by reading this review it might have a direct bearing on their (CHR) entire practice to reevaluate their attention the way they supposed to treat others, and hope they'll be able to make substantial adjustments. A good Doctor is the one who take a negative review more seriously than good reviews in order to make the right adjustments to minimize or prevent future mistakes by him or his staff that leads to dissatisfactions. There were countless of mistakes this Center of Human Reproduction office under Doctor Tomer Singer has made during our 6 months of treatments. But to avoid confusions and regardless of the variety of the particular medical mistakes made by this Doctor and his staff, I would like to underline the most crucial mistake of this office that made a bad vivid impression on us probably for the rest of our lives. There are many Doctors, hospitals, Private Medical offices that try to do the best they can to treat or cure patients, and not always it yields 100 percents of success. We are aware that sometimes one medicine might work well on one patient and the same medicine might not work at all on another or even causes that patient bad sides affects. But when something goes wrong and the Doctor ignore your calls and leaves you behind with no other recommendations or no attention at all and portrays this as an acceptable loss with no further support the way he depicted prior the time the papers were signed, than it construed as a huge BETRAYAL, and that is what happened to us. It is great to see good reviews when a reproduction went with success but it is also good to know how you will be treated there if you are not part of their success stories. My wife does not know I am writing this review, because I know this is not her style how to deal with this, but I do it because until today she got hurt from their betrayal significantly and I love her so much and somehow still hope that she will receive a certain attentiveness from this organization, to make her feel better just to put this behind her even if I know that I would never want to see or recommend them to anyone I care. From the first minute I met Dr. Singer, I knew I was in good hands. He is exactly the kind of Doctor that you wish to have, especially when you're in such a vulnerable state. Dr. Singer never treated me as just "another patient". I always felt that he really cares about me and was open to any question or concern I had. He made the whole experience very pleasant and comfortable. His follow-up and involvement during the pregnancy process were extremely professional, and I always felt so comfortable around him. Dr. Singer is the absolute best! After two unsuccessful rounds of IVF at a large NYC hospital where I never saw my doctor, I transferred to Dr. Singer. His office and staff were very organized, helpful, compassionate and were always available to explain the process in a clear and concise manner. Dr. Singer was always available and it was very refreshing to see him on a regular basis throughout my IVF cycle. Morning monitoring was always a smooth process and I didn't feel like "just a number"...the nurses always knew my name and could not have been more caring. Everyone there truly made the IVF process as easy and simple as it could be. Rampant corruption in this office. Incompetent doctor. Very sad. Stereotypical corrupt RE who will fail your IVFs on purpose to make more money. Tricked me into doing procedures without communicating why he planned to do them. Office illegally withheld my bloodwork (this is against federal law) and staff was incredibly rude. Office rarely answers the phone. In addition- "Dr." Singer blatantly lied to me that I was not ovulating upon looking at my ultrasound, but I had clearly seen a follicle coming out and my bloodwork confirmed I was indeed ovulating. He tried to immediately start me on birth control, which thank Gd I did not listen, and went back to my regular OB and conceived right away naturally!! Such a shame he would lie to a patient and make them undergo IVF when there is zero need whatsoever for it. I really think this is grounds for losing a medical license. read more

Dr. Singer is one of the most caring, compassionate doctor I have come across in a long time. The staff (Rosalee and Aman) are absolutely amazing ! I have read the other reviews but that has not been my experience. I have my monitoring appointments early in the am and have had afternoon appointments with Dr. Singer and have never had to wait longer than 10 minutes or so to be seen by him. Dr. Singer has called me after office hours to check on me or to return a call I placed with questions. He is always on top of everything related to my care and is very knowledgeable about infertility and treatments. read more

Dr. Singer is the most wonderful doctor. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is very knowledgable, and despite being busy (his practice has boomed!) he is incredibly attentive and caring. He listens to and addresses all of your questions and concerns. His bedside manner is absolutely fantastic. Above all, for me, was his approach and delivery of such sensitive information. Dr. Singer is honest and real- he is not falsely optimistic or harshly factual- he finds the balance! He is also very sincere. I felt so comfortable in his care, and after getting pregnant (both times!), I didn't want to leave him (he is only early care until you transition to your regular obgyn). He helped us have a wonderful baby girl, and three years later, a baby boy. He is great physician that I highly recommend to anyone needing reproductive support. Singer is probably a good doctor in certain contexts. But he doesn't have the temperament or skill to handle any kind of misunderstanding or conflict, and he also seems stretched too thin. I was misinformed about some test results (was told they were fine when they were not), and when this was brought to my attention by another doctor reviewing my records, I inquired with Singer. He immediately got defensive and said he told me. (I KNOW he told me they were fine because not only do I remember the words coming out of his mouth, but also because it was such a relief to me that I shared the news with my husband when he got home and we celebrated with some wine. Also, it was a 2 minute conversation when he gave me the results. I would have grilled him if I got the right results.) But I'm not a confrontational person, and anger seemed moot at this point, I only inquired to figure out what happened and to find out what I needed to do. Not to place blame. My poor review of him isn't even about the wrong test results, but how he handled the situation after. - He was immediately defensive and tried to blame me for confusing conversations when we first spoke on the phone. A more appropriate response to someone who felt she had this experience (I was still reeling from the devastation of the news), whether he believed her or not, would have been to address the next steps moving forward. I kept having to say, "I really want to put that behind me and talk about what to do moving forward." It felt as though I was less emotional in the conversation than he was. I really wasn't, I was just trying to calm him down and have a productive conversation. I was DEVASTATED mind you, but in no way did that come through - I wasn't accusatory at all. He should keep that in mind when having difficult conversations with patients. It's THEIR health he's talking about and impacts them much more than it does him. - I found it difficult to get a timeline of things from him for the treatments going forward. Perhaps this stemmed from the first misunderstanding, but he seemed ultra-sensitive to my questions-- as though I was challenging him on every little thing, rather than truly trying to understand the process, which was new to me. And if I sought clarification, he seemed to grasp at that as evidence that I was easily confused, pointing to why I must have been wrong on the first "misunderstanding." - He's short-tempered and has little patience. The final straw was when I called to set up an appointment to come in after a surgery I had with another doctor. When we spoke, he suggested that I get in six days later for a procedure. If we waited, he explained, I would have to wait two months due to the holidays falling on the next opportunity for the procedure (when the offices would be closed). I called the office the next day to make the appointment and asked a simple question of the receptionist that I forgot to discuss with Singer. He got on the phone abruptly and immediately sounded annoyed. Another misunderstanding ensued. Evidently, the procedure I thought we were doing on the sixth day was not his intent. His voice got increasingly louder and he accused me of telling his staff what to do (it really was just a question -- I would never bark orders at someone or be rude like that. I have too much respect for people like receptionists, waiters, etc. knowing their jobs are tough). After back and forth (and his accusing me of recording his conversations, when I was simply referring to a voice message he left), we decided I would see another doctor. I can say more about his rudeness, impatience, defensiveness and condescension, but it will begin to sound more like a personal attack, rather than a helpful review. This was an extremely upsetting experience for me. I broke down and cried for several hours after that call. I would never recommend him to anyone. Aside from his defensiveness and temper, he doesn't know how to acknowledge a person's experience (e.g. whatever he thinks he told me, I heard something different) -- in this line of work, this seems critical. I'm having to start over with another doctor at a critical time. This was something I was trying to avoid, but I should have gone with my gut when the first "misunderstanding" occurred. read more

i believe that he has his heart in the right place, but he is WAY too over-scheduled for a one practitioner office. nice guy, but the office is a mess, logistically. i've never waited less that 45 minutes in the waiting room, even just for what should be a quick blood draw. the nurses are slow and very unpredictable. sometimes super friendly, sometimes unbelievably rude and curt. if you don't know EXACTLY what is going on with your own stuff, don't expect anyone else in that office to keep track. i can't even count how many times i had to remind dr.singer that yes. we DO know about that cyst you're looking at on the sonogram...and yes, i have had this test and that test already. he is clearly spread so thin that he doesn't even look at your chart before he comes in to talk with you. i found that incredibly frustrating and it really shook my confidence in the care i was receiving. also, no one ever calls to check in with you after a procedure. i left in october after having had several unsuccessful iui's, and after the last one no one EVER called me to follow up--see if i was pregnant, see if i needed to come in. i would thing that just for their own success-rate numbers it would be in their best interests to call patients and see how it's going after the dreaded two-week wait... and having been at RMA previously, i found this shocking, since their nurses call you every week (sometimes more) to check in, see how you are, answer any questions. singer's office also has weird hours and if he's not there for some reason the only thing they do is tell you to go to their manhassett office. i mean, come on. not helpful at all. i am currently transferring to a different R.E. read more

Dr. Singer, and his entire staff of amazing medical providers (Gina, Roz, Aman, Yan, and the front office and other nurses who rotate between the City and Manhasset), knew me by name from the second time I walked in, just as they all seem to know all of their patients. I feel completely spoiled by how excellent this entire office is, I almost dread having to go back to my regular doctor. Dr. Singer helped us finally (!) to get pregnant. After seeing different fertility doctors we received a recommendation from a friend who had a successful IVF 2 years prior with Dr. Singer. The level of care received from him was very high and the nurses and other medical staff working with him were all friendly and supportive. They have a high pregnancy rate as it appears by talking to the patients in the waiting area. The thing that put across such a positive impression for me though, was the amount of time Dr. Singer has for his patients, he is very patient (if you pardon the pun!) and his experience shows when faced with difficult emotional situations, as well as complicated medical treatment - like we were unfortunately presented with.
