My first time in and I will definitely have to return. Unfortunately, I came 30 min before closing and needed more time for sure. So I will definitely return. I did find a great branded sweatshirt for only $8. Lots of departments to choose from. Men's, women's, children's clothing, linens, household items and decor and also a small trinket/souvenir section. I used to shop at Tomlinson's Warehouse in Florence when I lived there, and I was thrilled to find a location closer to home. Tomlinson's is a great shop for home decor items, Clemson/Carolina items, jewelry, or Charleston-themed gifts. In addition, there's a room on the side full of toys and Christmas/holiday items. Prices are reasonable and most items seem well-made and good quality. The exceptions are the political "red hats" and goofy screen printed shirts near the register (and sadly, you must walk past this politically-partisaned display to check out). I came here to look at garden flags, and I love that Tomlinson's carries garden flags for local colleges such as The Citadel, but also Ashley Ridge and Fort Dorchester high schools. If you come here for garden flags, just a heads up- they're at the back of the store. My three stars is due to customer service rather than the products or prices. The store is large, and being a first-time visitor, I had no idea where everything was. I never saw an employee on the sales floor to ask for help, and the two employees I saw at the jewelry counter when I walked in didn't greet me or ask if I needed help finding anything. Normally, I like to browse, but I would've appreciated it if they made the effort. The employee at the register seemed anxious for me to check out, even while I was trying to look at a rack of face masks near the register. I finally gave up browsing for masks and bought my flag and a gift for my mom. I'd return if I needed a gift, but likely will stick to shopping with the Florence location, as I've always gotten better service there, without politics in my face. read more

This place is amazing! Could spend hours wandering around in here. Definitely come prepared to buy something! And you can't beat the prices! They have anything you could imagine from pillows/bedspreads, to water bottles, pots and pans, you name it! And best of all they have lovely customer service the cashier lady was so sweet and told me about other similar items I could find in the store! Great place to find holiday decor too! I'm not from down here but my friend said it was like a caldores or an aims kind of store. So true! Everything you need (and plenty of stuff you don't need) is in this store. I needed nothing and left with a throw blanket ($10!), a st paddy's day flag, and two pink coozies. If I wasn't traveling by air, I would've easily bought so much more ! This is the place to go for anything South Carolina and take your visiting family and friends too! They offer much of their goods for well below the prices of downtown. The only thing is that they tend to run out of medium and large men's shirts. But, an awesome place for nearly anything you'd want for your house. read more

The staff is always friendly and the place is normally slammed packed. But since it's so big, I've never felt crowded inside. Tomlinson's is interesting. It is not your typical store. They have jewelry, clothes, toys, home decor, kitchen items, Etc. They have a huge variety, it is just set up differently than you would see in other stores that sell the same items. They have a lot of Charleston themed items as well as items for some of the major colleges in South Carolina. For the most part, I tend to get gifts for people at Tomlinson's and don't always shop for myself. So it's definitely a good place for gift items. read more

When I saw warehouse with a sign for discount name brands, and I was so excited! However, I then realized that most items were not discounted. They were discounted from the "retail price" listed on the tag, but that price is very high. Most merchandise prices are comparable to other specialty and department stores. Why shop here?! It's a pretty good one stop shop for local items and if you need to shop for many people at once and fast--go here. However, I prefer my favorite specialty shops if I'm paying full price. Came her when I was in town visiting my family this past holiday. Such a find!! This place pretty much has everything!!! From household decorations, to kids toys, to seasonal decorations, as well as shoes and clothes. Plenty of nick knacks like decorative cups and things to accessorize your home too. I mean seriously I could spend hours in here. All kinds of South Carolina merchandise too.!! Has a general store feel to it, but is like a mall in itself. Awful experience and unsatisfactory service. I would give this place less than one if it was an option. (Yelp please consider) I went to find some Knick nacks that I know this place has. I entered the store and was welcomed by an older staff member, that is where the southern hospitality went out the window. I found items that interested me and asked one of the cashiers where an item was and her response was some end cap over there, of note, she had no eye contact. Back was to me. I shrugged it off and went on. I checked out a short time later and the old rude cashier who I could tell didn't wanna work on Christmas Eve was very unprofessional when informing me about where my credit card should go. I had multiple items and had to carry them loose out to the vehicle. My family member had been in the same store and got a bag. I went back to the store showing my receipt and the cashier I encountered said "Sir we do not bag stuff here." All these old bags need to take customer service training 101. Will never go there again. I am a hardworking business owner and never in a million years would I thought I'd be followed around and harassed by multiple elder ladies. I walked in looking for a jacket because I didn't bring one for family dinner. It took me a little bit to find my right size and preference of a jacket. I noticed this one lady eyeing me down every isle I walked down in. My fiancé was on the other side of the store and over heard 3 manager saying "all he has to do is put it on and run out the door". I am a regular there, half of my wardrobe is carhart. I feel disrespected, discriminated and very uncomfortable even a day later. THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST OF ME. read more

Despite their awesome collection of Clemson/USC items, household goods and SC decor the prices at this store are incredibly high (compared to other places where you can buy the SAME stuff for cheaper). Our experience with this store was our first and LAST as an employee walked, with purpose, to stand at the rear of the store and WATCH US! as if we were going to steal something. She never came to ask if we needed anything, just watched us. It wasn't as if we were a couple of kids looking for trouble...
