There seems to be an unspoken rule here: if you don't order at least two alcoholic drinks per person, you aren't welcome. Our waiter was smug and self-important, pressuring me to order alcohol seven (7) separate times over the course of an hour. When I politely declined, he actually scoffed and told me, "In Spain, everyone has wine with their meals." We had already ordered two Cokes and two bottles of sparkling water, yet it felt like our "value" as guests was tied solely to a liquor quota. It is incredibly off-putting to be lectured on cultural drinking habits while trying to enjoy a meal with my son. When you walk in you get the feeling that you just travelled 60 years back in time. Both of us ordered a burger and a side order. We didn't have to wait long for the side orders to arrive. The burger at first seemed small but looks can be deceiving; halfway through we were both full. The service is nice and the personnel are all very friendly and smiling.
