I'm visiting the area for a wedding and wanted a clean car to arrive in. Saw Tommy's was close and decided to give them a shot. Took advantage of their free trial to see how they perform as the reviews here aren't favorable, though most likely only angry people leave review. True to their name, the wash was quick. Most of the bug gunk on my windshield was removed and my red car shines. The negatives are that many bugs on my front plate remain, there's still some bird droppings on my hood, and the dirt on my wheels is now streaky. The touchless car washes I frequent in MN seem to do a better job than the many scrubbers in this wash. I will say that I was worried that the scrubbers would bend my front plate, but that didn't happen. UPDATE: The subscription I signed up for let me go through a second time, which is great! However, the bugs on my plate and bird droppings are still present. The bird droppings are not that noticeable, but there are still remnants. Not sure I'd be okay with $43 a month (highest tier package) for a service that isn't as comprehensive for a long road trip clean up. Local every day washes seem to be great tho. read more

After having my engine seize up and only being 2 days into a monthly wash term I called and explained the situation. I explained I didn't want to waste three weeks that I paid for and he said they most definitely could pause my membership and I could just unpause it when I got my truck back. So I got my truck back two months later and unpaused my membership on 6/13/25 I then saw I was charged $46 to unpause my membership. Went and spoke to the girl at the window and no help just kept repeating herself it was policy they couldn't refund me. So I was lied to or completely mislead the first time and was just out that month now had to pay for another month. I just wanted a refund for unpausing but no help she took my name and said her manager would call and I never heard anything. I have been a member with all three of my vehicles since they opened. I will now be taking my vehicles to another car wash. Terrible customer service service! read more

This is what happened to my trucks paint finish after going through the wash. I went through the customer service process, it took weeks to get ahold of a manager, to finally be told that they will take no responsibility for the damage. You can believe whomever you want to believe (me or tommy's corporate/ownership), but the pictures speak for themselves. You've been warned! read more

Tommy's at Westdale Parkway in Cedar Rapids. Shift Manager named Rachel on 1/12/2025: Needed to go around twice. Rachel, who said she was a shift manager, came out to INSPECT my car and refused to let me go through a second time. Asked me to come out of my car and show her spots (its freezing out). Rachel was extremely rude. She did not give me my money back. I have been to Tommys dozens of times. But I will NEVER go back to any Tommy's now. One bad employee can spoil the entire franchise. read more

Terrible experience with the manager. Have been a customer for about a year or so, with 3 vehicles at one point. Went through the wash last night and had the whole rear light fixture torn off. Manager had the audacity to say it's not their fault and claim it was a preexisting issue with the vehicle. The plastic fixtures are completely torn off. Then they show me a video where the light fixture flies off claiming it was touch less... While it just went through the touchy noodle part right before... Rude encounter with the manager. I will never be a customer at this location again! read more

Definitely better than Mister car wash. I would rather trade Matt washing for having an air compressor blower any day of the week. These guys actually trust you to drive up on to them carwash conveyor belt on your own. You don't even need a babysitter to help you figure that 1 out. They also have reasonable hours that fit into my schedule. read more

First wash today, it came out spotless! I was hoping for a two vehicle discount but no, you need three or more if I understood the young lady correctly. She was very helpful and answered my questions. Very pleasant and gave my dogs each a milk bone! Again my truck looked great read more

Sliced my sidewalk gouged my rim , so 1300 dollar car wash, it's a free for all with no real attendants,

This is an alright wash but it is shame it smells (like moldy sewer water) so bad. The smell comes through the vents and stinks up your car for a couple days after. It was a waste of money. read more

Best Car wash I have found esp with a black large suv. A couple times I have gone through and the dyers didn't work and they should as I pay for the monthly "works" membership. But other than that it's great. read more
