Disappointed in Tommy's Express insurance decision concerning our SUV. I was a member for several years for unlimited car washes. Site Leader Paris called me about our claim. He said he found a video tape showing our fin shaped antenna cover blew off during the blow cycle. He said their insurance will not pay for objects that must have been loose that come off in the blow cycle. I believe the wash mops could have been vigorous enough to dislodge it. It is costing us $611 for replacement of the whole assembly that includes the radio and GPS electronics as well as the fin cover. I cancelled membership because I won't risk damage like this again. Previous car washes were satisfactory, but we are parting ways over this. read more

I really liked Tommy's Car Wash, and think it's a lot better than the other car washes I've been to. I didn't really think that there was that much of a difference in car washes, but my car looked noticeably cleaner and shinier after going through the machine, and their wipes, vacuums, and mat cleaners were awesome as well. Next time I need a car wash, this'll be the first place I go! read more

Made my second trip for my second free works and they did a good job. They signed me up for 6 more free washes. Can't beat that. Watch for those free washes they send out in the mail. You can tie them to a promotion if you download the app and sign up. read more

Pulled in around 7:50pm and I asked if they were still doing car washes. They said yes and let me pay $16 for a wash... I get to the other side to vacuum and detail my car and the vacuums are off. I ask why the vacuums aren't working and I get a snippy "well we're closed so they shut off when they close". So why did you let me PAY for a car wash and to use the vacuums and I cannot vacuum my car? I'm 9 months pregnant trying to clean my car for my child's arrival and to put her car seat in! Would not recommend and workers are money hungry and disrespectful! read more

Mediocre wash. Went thru twice and it still didn't get two day old bird droppings off car. Plus no free cloths to wipe down and dry car ( unlike other drive thru washes). They charge for a $5 'derail kit' Listed as a detail car wash but it's not, it's an automated drive thru. Not worth it. read more

To the canned response - I know you stand behind your decision not to take any responsibility. That's easy enough. I stand behind my decision to never set foot on any of your properties again, and let others know what happened. I went to this car wash on 5/2/25 in my new (to me) F150. Wash seemed fine aside from not cleaning the tailgate at all. I got back to work a few blocks away and noticed four large gouges down to clean metal in a line on the hood. Immediately returned and filed a claim. They denied it and said it was impossible that any damage would be front to back, rather than side to side. However, this is in a 90 curved portion of the hood and dash cam video clearly shows the mitters being pulling straight back across the truck. I cannot prove it so am out the repair cost. I have no doubt the gouge came from this car wash, the metal rusted within hours and nothing else hit my car that day. Even a rock would have dented, not gouged in a line. Needless to say I am never returning and do not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Tommy's is new, and new places deserve a thorough review, so I'll do my best. I gave my car the #4 wash, which at $8 and the lowest on the tiered system (highest is $20) was a good indication of the level of service, the quality of the machinery, and the cost of entry wash. It was...not phenomenal. My car still had some spots and bird poop on it (i'll refrain from posting pictures, don't want them to show up in the search for this car wash) but that is, I suppose, to be expected from the lowest level wash. If your car isn't terribly dirty (mine hadn't been washed for a while...) then this option should be great for you. The customer service was very sweet and personal, can't complain at all. The free vacuums and the mat washing machine (neat but didn't do a whole heck of a lot after i had already vacuumed mine - I keep my mats clean though) we're great free additions too. Takeaway - ya need more than the #4 wash to really get your car squeaky clean. But they're in a convenient location, have friendly staff, and seem like a good deal compared to the other local shops. Even have an app and monthly signup discounts. So give em a try! read more

I got their top of the line #1 (The Works) wash this afternoon on a 2003 Ford Explorer that hadn't been driven in several months and was looking pretty rough with lots of leaves and dust on it. I drove out of there with a shiny car that looked half its age - including glossy tires that looked like new. None of the missed areas or streaks common with other car washes in the area. Note - The wash uses cloths and isn't touchless - so keep that in mind if you are a touchless fan. I personally prefer the cloth washes because they seem to do a better job getting at road grime, but if you wash a car obsessively (as with one of their unlimited washes memberships) the cloths can wear on your clearcoat after a while. I had that happen with a black Mercedes at another cloth wash which ended up covered in tiny little scuffs and scratches that made the finish less-glossy after multiple washes a week to get road salt off the car - not a problem here in Columbia. The place is brand new, well designed - employees were helpful - and the wash itself was quick and thorough. The free vacuum area was especially nice - having wide parking slots so you aren't jammed up next to other cars and 2 vacuum nozzles per slot so you can vacuum both sides without dragging a hose over your hood or roof. Two trash cans per slot as well. Lots of suction and no junk in either of the nozzles - it got every bit of sand, leaves and other bits out from my mats and under the seats in no time. I highly recommend based on what I saw. They definitely set the bar in this area. read more

Save your time and money, not what it used to be! Been going to Tommy, since it opened, last two times were miserable failures. Once car came out, dirty on the side and bugs still on the front. Told employee about it. He just shrugged his shoulders. Wrote to the national customer service and they said I had to talk to someone locally before I left. Next trip bug still all over the front of my other car. Talk to an employee, told him what level wash I had and he said, I didn't pay enough to get bugs off! Went to the national again. They sent me back to the local again saying that they had sent my complaint to the Columbia location. No one's contacted me nobody cares. Plus they've gone up 40% in cost. Find a better wash. They are plenty around. read more

Car wash was just okay but it left a lot of grime on my car. Service was good and employees were friendly. Most car washes have free rags to wipe the inside but theirs are $3 to get. Most likely won't be returning. read more

Dismissive and rude employee. I signed up for 2nd car to be added to my plan and apparently did not show up in their computer. Was grilled and treated rudely. Don't know what is the issue with the car wash Industry code of conduct but have heard so many horrific stories of rude employees - now, I guess it's my turn.
