NO CARE for customers!!! DON'T TRUST!!! Dropped my phone off just for moisture control and to get it dried from the inside. I called ahead of time and it was said that there would be a 1-2 hour wait. It was also supposed to be $70. When I showed up, the 1-2 hour job turned into a 5-6 hour job. They said it would be ready by 4 and around that time, I got a confirmation message that it was ready. When I showed up, no one was there and it was still within their regular hours. Then I called the owner and he said he would get ahold of someone. Nothing ended up getting done and wouldn't answer any more calls. I ended up being without my phone on a two day overnight trip and I'm a minor and I wasn't with my parents, so this lack of care and management led to my safety and trust being compromised. When I returned, they went to look for my phone and lost it. They proceeded to look for ten minutes without an explanation of where it went and they thought someone stole it. Then finally they looked under a MacBook in the bin where it was supposed to be and they found it. So after all these bumps in the road I was happy to get my phone back but wanted some form of compensation/refund for what mistakes they made and what trouble they caused me. But no, all they could say was that they completed the repair and that's all. So just drive the extra 20-30 minutes to somewhere else where they actually care about you- the customer. P.S. Their terms and conditions are absolutely ridiculous. It puts all the risk on the customer and has ended up costing others lots of money for things they didn't want done. read more

Reported him to the BBB. Paid all together $824.68 for a new screen and motherboard. Original reason was for the screen but he insisted my motherboard was fried too. Long story short he sent my computer to Arkansas where I live now after over a month of back and forth crap. Computer camera doesn't work, computer over heats, freezes and shuts down and now won't get past the Lenova screen before it blacks out. He is unresponsive of course. My daughter who is 15 went to Tom's to have her phone repaired , she was told the cost would be $175 to repair the back of her phone which had to be paid upfront before the part could be ordered. We paid the fee and my daughter was asked to sign an agreement to fix the device, the next day I received a call that the front screen was now damaged and it would cost an additional $ 70 to fix what "TOM'S " had damaged. I questioned how that became an expense to me , the customer service rep referred back to the agreement my daughter signed to justify why they weren't liable for the damage by Tom's. My daughter was naive and didn't read the agreement because she's 15 and believed she was signing just to give permission to fix the phone. When I picked the phone up yesterday another customer came and and the exact samething happened with his wife's iPad, the customer service representative was apologetic for the damage but he is not the owner. Tom's should be put off limits to service members because he is taking advantage of people and ripping them off for their money. read more

I paid for the repairs as well as the shipping cost (even though he stated that he would take care of shipping) it is now beginning of Feb. DISORGANIZED AND POOR COMMUNICATION. Tom's was unable to install a new SSD drive in my Apple MacBook, but that is not my complaint. The communication and organization made me question my choice of taking it to them in the first place. After dropping off my computer at their Ft Leonard Wood store (which apparently has closed?) on a Saturday, they called me on Monday asking if I was ok with them starting to work on my computer. I returned their call and got Tom's voicemail, on which I left a message to please proceed with the upgrade. Nothing. On Thursday, we checked back with Tom's to find out they were still waiting for permission to proceed WHICH I HAD GIVEN THEM VIA VOICEMAIL on Monday. They failed to check their own voicemail box. After two weeks with Tom's, they called to let me know they could not figure out how to get the OS installed with the new hard drive. I asked to get my computer back and went to pick it up at the St Robert store. The store was an absolute disaster, with half-assembled computers, phones, and electronics parts strewn all over the storefront. It took 30 minutes for the team to locate my computer and the SSD drive I had purchased. This was despite having coordinated for a specific appointment time to pick up my computer. The reason for two stars and not one star -the team at work when I picked my computer up (Jordan and two young ladies) was friendly and trying very hard to deliver good customer service. They were able to to return my MacBook to its original configuration and return my purchased SSD Drive. They gave me a reasonable refund for being unable to complete the upgrade. Would not recommend this business at all. Refusing to refund even when THEY broke my Iphone. Only offering a in-store credit on used products. Went in on 8/24/23 to inquire about getting an Iphone 11 screen and battery replaced. Was told that I could leave the phone to get the screen replaced that day as they had one in stock. This would cost me $150. The battery would need to be ordered but would be in the following day for $50. I verbally agreed to both and left my phone. When I come back at end of day, I paid for both the screen and battery. At that time I was told to sign a signature pad stating that I would allow them to work on my phone, even though they had already worked on it. At no point in time did I get to see this contract that I supposedly was signing, nor was I told that there was a risk of anything being broken on the product that I had there to be fixed. Upon inspecting my phone at pick up, everything was working fine at this time. I came back in the following day to get the battery replaced. When I picked the phone up, the battery turned off 2x in the parking lot and I also noticed that the face ID was not working. I went back in and brought up the issues. Was told that the battery that arrived today must have been bad. My old battery was put back into the phone and I was told to come back on Monday to get another new battery put in and the face ID fixed. I called on Monday to inform them that I would be in on Tuesday due to appointments. Dropped my phone off on Tuesday in the morning and husband picked phone up at the end of the day. Upon picking it up, he was told the battery was replaced but the face ID cable got nicked and it will not work now. My husband was offered a $200 credit on a USED Iphone 13 ($750) as it was an "upgrade". I physically went in the business the next day to request my old screen, battery, and money back as I would need to purchase a new phone now. I was then told that I could get a refund on the parts, but not the labor as it had already been performed, but would need to return the new screen and battery. Fair enough, however, I was then told they no longer had the old screen. The refund amount would only be $50 and that was for both the screen and battery, but I wouldn't even get that due to them no longer having the old screen. I asked for a portion of the labor to be refunded due to that being when the cable was nicked and was told the owner would not budge on that and basically sorry, the business is protected due to me signing the "Contract". I voiced that I had signed the signature pad AFTER my phone was worked on but it did not matter. This company has multiple bad complaints that are unanswered on the BBB website stating similar issues and the no refund even when THEY break the customers products. read more

I do not leave reviews like ever, but Tom is one that's worthy of having. I'm in the military and had issues with my personal laptop and he was the first one right off post that was willing to help. I use my laptop for work, and for entertainment so I was devastated when it kept crashing. I took it to him, and he fixed it in a timely manner and then proceeded to tell me to try again. It still was broke and he was determined to get it fixed for my behalf. Although I'm still in the process of getting it fixed, I see how well Tom treats his customers, and I know he will get me through the rest of this process. June 28, 2018 I took my phone to CPR to be looked at. They said come back in an hour. When I went back they said they did not think it could be fixed but the battery was very low. They said contact the company. They did not charge me because they did not fix it. June 29, 2018 I thought I would get a second opinion. So I took my phone to Toms Computer and Phone Repair. His website says he has free diagnostics. I took my phone to him he said he could fix it. When I started to walk away he said I had to pay a $35.00 deposit to make sure I would come back for my phone because people drop them off and never come back for them. I hesitated but I paid him and had to ask for a receipt. He said call him in a hour. In a hour I called him he said he was still trying to fix it. In another hour I went to Toms and talked to the man. He said he could not fix it. I said well guess I will send it to the company, then I asked him for my money back. He said Oh! that is gone. Since I worked on your phone I am keeping it. I said but you said it was a deposit to make sure I came back for my phone. He said well I am keeping your money. When I called him the first time he should have said if I continue to work on your phone I am going to charge you. If he would have said that I would have said NO. I took my Xbox in because my daughter decided to stick bobby-pins in the disk drive. He was able to fix it good as new, fixed it as fast as the part could come in and the price was more than reasonable. Highly recommend taking your business to him first. read more

If it would let me leave zero stars I would. Do NOT use this man. I repeat...do NOT!! I asked him to repair my iPad screen that was cracked and he was supposed to have it ready by Thursday. On Friday I contacted him and he said it's not ready yet but to give him an hour. Thirty minutes later he texted me stating that he broke my home button and it would be ready on Monday. I tried to contact him on Monday without answer. On Tuesday I called, texted, and stopped by the store. No luck with any. Same story on Wednesday. He is never in the store during his posted business hours. I had to involve the St Robert PD to get my property back. They told me that this was the 2nd time in 2 weeks that he pulled this stunt. Also I paid $189 for crappy repairs where the screen is pulling off and my home screen button which wasn't broken before is now jacked up. Thank you Tom's computer repair for nothing. Should rename your store to Tom's crappy computer repair. Please do not go to him unless you want crappy repairs and have to involve the police to get your stuff back. read more
