This is a walk-in orthopedic office which was perfect for me since I didn't want to wait till next week to find out what was wrong with my foot. This office is across from Broward General Hospital. I was seen by Dr. Jeffrey Alent who was very nice. Before being seen by the doctor X-rays were given and then the consult started. I was shown what the problem was and a plan of action. I am glad I did not break any bones in my foot. The recommendations were to take it easy, a no-impact exercise for a while, more stretching, and more supportive shoes as well as Voltaren cream for arthritis on my ankle from a broken ankle in the past. I did pass on the physical therapy since I rather work on the foot myself. Exercises were given to improve the range of movement. Hopefully, I will recover soon.

My challenge with this practice is that at certain times of the day the small-ish space feels over-filled with patients, resulting in one's rehab plan becoming hindered or lacking because most of the equipment and treatment tables are in use at the same time. And for folks recovering from procedures & injuries, such chaos and crowding stressful at best, non-conducive to healing at worst. At slower times of the day the range of therapeutic options are very effective. That said, therapists have a tendency to congregate at the desk and chat amongst themselves vs. closely monitoring or effectively checking in with the 3-4 patients they are treating at one time. Whereas Kevin was much more involved with his patients, he is no longer with the practice, and I see no need to continue services there. Generally, as a rehab professional myself, I found all of the above disappointing.

He does not immediately start with the most aggressive form of treatment, but will get more aggressive if a course of treatment (therapy in my case) is not yielding results. I'm 54 and in good shape, but a few years ago I had back pain due to stenosis that radiated into my legs (sciatica). I tried to ignore it, but it bothered me so much that I had to take sit breaks when walking (eagerly eyeing and fighting 75 year olds for a spot on a bench) and couldn't stand in one spot more than five minutes. The pain impacted my life to such a degree that I avoided activities and just wanted to sit or lie down. Dr. Chacin fixed my issue with injections and I not only avoided surgery but I was able to resume all activities I couldn't do previously and felt human again! I've also watched him interact with other patients and he's so empathetic and calm! ! have so much faith in him that my wife was experiencing back pain recently and I referred her to him and he's helped her too! My pain always returns sometimes taking my breath away. Level 8 pain is excruciating and debilitating. Several years ago it was recommended that I meet with Dr Chad Frank. My friend was confident Dr Frank could offer relief from my suffering. I knew nothing about Osteopathic treatment but took the advice and made the appointment. My experience with the Non-Surgical Center for Physical and Sports Medicine Center has been wonderful. The waiting room never has more than one or two patients because the staff understand the value of patients time. It's a wonderful thing to be treated courteously by office staff. Dr Chad Frank has been able to relieve my back pain which allows me greater range of motion. I know that when my back "goes out" I can trust that Dr Frank will be there to help. I have practically crawled into the center at times because when my back acts up the pain is intense. After just one visit I realize significant relief from my agony. I have not used drugs or injections as part of my treatment with Dr Frank. I know it's an option, but I have not needed to do so. I feel blessed and grateful for Dr Chad Frank. The staff at the front desk are nice but they are insanely tough to get a hold of. I had to call back to back multiple times over a few different days before I finally got a return on my phone calls to confirm a couple appointments. The place is spacious and they have a handful of different gym machines such as a leg press and elliptical. Everything is in up to date shape and wiped down between clients. The PT was very friendly and even gave us papers with the exercises and stretches to do at home, as well as a couple different strength elastic bands so they would be able to be used at home as well. Overall it's a great location and some friendly staff. If I have to come back for something when it comes to PT I'll make sure to come here!

The PT's here are friendly and actually care about their patients. When I was here doing some sessions because of a fall at work, the PT's were all talking about what they were doing over the weekend as well as giving good recommendations about new places to try, to their patients. The location is very easy to find but there isn't too much parking, so it may be difficult to get a spot when it tends to get busier. There also isn't much seating in the lobby area so just a heads up! The therapy/office area is one giant open area with many different machines around it to work on, depending what you need help with. My PT was super friendly, made sure I knew exactly what I was doing and how to do it as well as gave me some resistance bands and exercises printed out to do at home in between sessions. I will come back here in the future if I ever need more stretching or therapy for sure!
