We were driving a VW Jetta, which is apparently an incredibly difficult car to get fixed in smaller towns, but he called around to a few places on his phone for us and found one of his friends in Alpine who had a garage and was willing to work on our car. If you have to break down in the middle of the desert, Sixto is the man to call.

Our rental car took us around Big Bend National Park for two days…read moreand I may have jinxed us by remarking that it was a miracle we didn't get a flat tire driving over 1000s of sharp rocks on the unpaved roads. On our way to Mother's Day dinner, the tire light went on and we realized one of the tires had gone completely flat at 5:30 PM on a Sunday. We waited 2.5 hours for AAA to send a guy in from Alpine to put the spare on for us and then drove straight to Diego at 7 PM. He very quickly patched the original tire, removed the spare, and reinstalled the tire. He has us on our way in less than an hour and only charged us $40 for his trouble. We made it out of there in time to take mom out for dinner and drinks in Terlingua and the patch got us through the 4 hour drive to Midland/Odessa airport to return our rental the following day.

Then, my fiance said that she not only found a tire repair in Terlingua but it was also open Saturday. About 20 minutes later, we arrived at Diego's and no joke, he was not only hustling to work on my 4runner but also had the truck jacked and tire off in only a few minutes. It was a very hot day and his son offered us water while we waited. We watched him fix the tire and it took a few attempts as the first plug didn't seal it but after 45 minutes or so, it was fixed. He also was very nice to air up our other 3 tires that were low after airing down for offroading. Very friendly pricing and nice people. They saved our trip and I couldn't be more grateful. Wish I could give 6 stars!

The pump was a little slow. Interesting characters in this town of Marfa, TX. I wouldn't get food from the Laredo Taco Company if the restaurants in town were open, but that's just me. Probably decent in a pinch and possibly better for breakfast as opposed to lunch.

When I drove my car with the spare tire to Alpine, I was desperate and out in the middle of nowhere & all auto shops are closed. Headed into the gas station & Sharon was so nice to call the owner of Auto Glass Alpine on the other side of the street for me. Eventually the owner, Vance, from the auto shop came in and helped me put on a tire that I could rely on & drive back home. It's a 500ish miles away and the doughnut would not make it that far away. I'm so thankful for all helps the people here offered me. PS - Because I was in such bad luck, bought a lottery scratch and killed the time waiting Vance.

I've lived in town for about 4…read moremonths now and constantly go up to amigos convenience store to purchase two cartons of cigarettes a week ,(crown menthol dark 100 s) . Everything was fine until one of the employees started refusing to sell me cartons, this is the long haired ,heavy set dark skinned employee that is there every Friday at 1:00 p.m. , even if there are multiple cartons on the shelf he refuses to sell a carton to me and is extremely rude about it, this has happened on multiple occasions. And each time I have to go down to the triangle to get cigarettes which is very inconvenient. Also they can't seem to keep this product in stock.
