An upscale bakery with prices that match it. The bakery has about 6 small tables not very well spaced apart. There is quite a variety of baked goods to choose from most seem to be french pastries with some middle eastern flavours. One compliant is that when dining in we got three pastries none were warmed up, nor were we asked if we wanted them warmed. Spinach feta pie - Overall, pastry was good and a good amount of filling. Only complaint is that it was not warmed. Would ask to get it warmed next time. Chocolate pecan roll - The pastry itself was nice, light and fluffy, with a slight crisp on the outside. My only complaint was the bottom of the pastry where it was a bit soft or soggy, likely due to not enough cooling time on the wire rack. The flavour, pecan (or walnut, forgot) and chocolate was lacking. Kinda want more of the described toppings in the pastry. Would not recommend. Bee sting - a new product they were selling and they had a postcard to describe what was inside. It is basically a bread with custard inside, usually saffron, but today it was vanilla, and some toasted almonds on top. The almonds ontop was the star of the show! Bread was too dry for my liking and had quite a stark contrast with the custard. Nice to try. Looking at the reviews, I probably grabbed the wrong items, and will need to come back and try their croissants or their focaccia sandwiches.

quiet bakery but great if you're craving a less buttery & floral flavoured croissant filled with pistachio cream! The financiers look yummy so may try them next time! Hard to find but we still found it! A little short on staff and great if you're looking for a place with lots of parking in the lot!

This is such an aesthetic patisserie/cafe! While seating is somewhat limited, it's definitely worth a visit if you love beautiful & tasty pastries, delicious coffee, and gorgeous food photos. A wonderful spot for a date or meeting up with friends, especially because it's not too noisy. I tried the pistachio rose croissant, which was amazing - almost too beautiful to eat! The pastry was light & flaky, filled with a rose-pistachio cream that wasn't too sweet or heavy. It paired so well with the latte, which had just enough bitterness without being too much of a dark roast/woody flavour.

Found this new French bakery that opened up a few weeks ago. They serve croissants, sandwiches, cookies, and loafs as well as the drink menu with classic cafe drinks. The bakery is very clean and would definitely be a nice place to sit and chat with friends or even do some work. They display their menu items very nice and neat. The service was great and the cashier was very kind. They also offered some samples of their bakery items which was nice. They also packaged my items in a super cute box. I tried the almond and chocolate croissants. Typically not a fan of almond croissants but this one was really good and had a good filling and the almonds were toasted nicely. The croissant itself was really nice and flaky and buttery. The chocolate croissant was really airy and flaky. I do wish there was a little bit more chocolate in it but it was still super tasty. One of the better croissants I've had in Richmond Hill.

We arrived at the small plaza with a small parking lot today (Saturday) around 10:15 a.m. & luckily enough, it was a quiet start to the day as parking was plentiful though I can imagine it being a bit hectic during busy times. This location (there are 2 others) is in the plaza right next to the Richmond Hill location for AI Sushi. As soon as we entered, we were promptly greeted & seated at a nice corner table. Shortly after that, a nice gentleman came to placed a QR code at our table asking if we've been here before. After we said no, he explained to us how to order using the QR code. We can all scan and order individually then it shows up as one large order for the table. I think he said he can split the bill if needed & we would just need to let him know. The place itself was nice. A bit above casual with around 20 tables inside. Well light and seemed clean. I ordered the Thai red curry pasta with clams, hubby and our friend both ordered the chicken and waffles, and my cousin ordered the mushroom benedict. We all ordered a drink (hubby a flat white with the rest ordering some type of latte). Our food came pretty quickly. My pasta was delicious and had good heat (spicy kick) to it & the red curry sauce was full of deep rich flavors. I enjoyed the clams but they were a bit small so it's taste got overpowered by the sauce. I would have preferred it if they gave me fewer but larger clams. I had a taste of my hubby's fried chicken & it was really good. The batter was well seasoned & crispy but not oily and the chicken thigh was moist. The staff know what they are doing there. We were asked whether we are enjoying our food & they always made sure our water glasses were full. I highly recommend this place & am looking forward to my next visit there!

That level of care really comes through in the cup; you can taste the depth and intentionality in every sip. I ordered the vanilla bean iced latte, and it was easily one of the best espresso bases I've had in a while. The shot itself was rich and layered: deep, chocolatey, and nutty striking a really nice balance between bitterness and acidity. It finished with a smooth, almost creamy note that made the whole drink incredibly enjoyable. The only downside is the size-to-price ratio. At around CAD $8.50 for what felt like a 10 oz drink, it's definitely on the pricier side for something that goes down this easily. Still, I'd absolutely come back when I'm in the mood for a more premium coffee experience. (Funny note - the barista and I had a small rant together about how people order "iced cappuccino" and macchiato expecting Starbucks milk sugary drink instead of the "proper" shot with dollop of foam. I understand their pain hahah)

My cousin and I arrived shortly after opening on New Year's Eve. The cafe has a small interior with minimal seating, mostly bench seating along the wall with small round coffee tables. Even though there was only one barista working that morning, she was efficient at taking orders and making drinks despite several orders happening at once. We did not feel like we were waiting very long. I ordered a pour-over with the Finca El Paraiso Peach Colombian beans, which use a thermal shock washed process. That was something I had not heard of before. The tasting notes listed nectarine, tropical fruit, and caramel, and it was recommended since I was looking for something more out of the ordinary. I enjoyed the wilder flavor profile, but it was hard to fully appreciate because the coffee tasted overly diluted. The barista mentioned she used a 15g to 250g bean-to-water ratio, which is higher than how I normally enjoy my pour-overs. My cousin ordered a flat white with whole milk that was very creamy with strong espresso notes. We also ordered a matcha latte for my other cousin, which was apparently too creamy. Overall, the beans themselves were good, but the pour-over leaned watery for my personal preference. The bag of beans used for the pour-over was priced at $32, which is only a bit more than double the cost of the pour-over itself. In hindsight, I felt slightly ripped off and should have just bought the beans instead.

The flavour profiles, strength and origin are all printed on the packaging along with the roasting date. Along with fresh beans, this location also sells a variety of loose leaf tea and also a large selection of coffee equipment and accessories. All I know is that I walked in and saw them baking fresh flatbread and knew I had to get some. I got two kinds of bread, as well as something I was told I could dip the bread in. I got a very large, round, very thin flatbread covered in sesame seeds for $1.50. I also got a very long, quasi-rectangular-but-almost-triangular flatbread covered in sesame seeds that wasn't quite as thin for $3.50. That one I actually watched them pull out of the oven. I asked if they sold anything I could dip the bread into. They pointed me to what looked like a baba ganoush colored dip topped with what could have been very darkly fried onions or some kind of spice mixture in olive oil. I asked what it was. They said it was mashed meat, but the hand gestures were more shredded than mashed. I got it anyways. That one cost me $6.50. I was told to heat it before eating it. Okay! Went to Grandma's. Heated the dip. The oil and spice combo turned out to be cinnamon, if I'm not mistaken. The bottom tasted like nothing. Honestly. Nothing. It also had the consistency of glue, or what my brain imagines poi would be like. It's not like any meat I've ever had. Perhaps there was some sort of language gap there. If anyone can tell me what I ate and whether this is the way it was supposed to taste, I'd really like to know. If what I'm describing is a fantastic example of whatever it's supposed to be, I'll change my review. However, right now, I'm just super confused. We ended up dipping our bread in garlic and herb cream cheese dip covered in spicy pineapple jam. I'd still come back for the bread.
