I had both highlights and a cut so my first appointment was with the colourist who gave me her opinion on what she thought I should go for. She was completely right in what she recommended and my colour looks fantastic and my hair so much healthier. The stylist who cut my hair did what I asked him to and then dried my hair in a way that created volum and movement rather than just having it poker straight as most stylists seem to like to do. Yes it is quite pricey but I don't mind paying for my hair as if it looks good it makes me feel good too.

The woman who did my colour was very friendly and polite, she recommended the best colours to go for and really knew what she was talking about. The only negative is that you only get a quick blow dry included with the price, you have to pay extra to have your hair straightened or styled. Mahogany offer a dry cut as well as children's and gent's cuts I think this will be my special occasion/ treat salon rather than my regular hairdressers. I had been nosing at the place for several weeks while it was being refubished and knew it was going to be nice - but it took my breath away when i went inside. As soon as you walk in their is a relaxing atmosphere with chilled music in the background and a fantastic water feature as you walk in! Immediatley i was greated by a pleasent young girl who took my coat an gave me a drinks menu! I opted for a white wine - and when i was took to the station, it was there waiting for me. I had my colour done, and was told the colour is mixed with a new brand called Moroccanoil - apparently used by all the celebs! Anyway - back to the salon - i sat there with my second glass of wine watching the television, which i thought was a mirror, until the stylist turned the television on and gave me the remote whilst i sat their in my foils! I was then treated to a complimentary hand massage! Couldnt recommend this place enough to my friends - went a few days later for a blow dry before a wedding, where this time i opted for a cup of coffee which was accompanied by a croissant! As mentioned in the review above, i paid £63 for half a head of foils with 3 colours but this included my cut and blow - so i thought the price was very resonable! A hidden gem in liverpool!

The staff look after you really well offering to take your coat as soon as you walk in and offer you a drink. They constantly keep an eye on you to see if there's anything they can get you. They are very chatty too so if you're in there for a few hours you'll never be bored!

The place was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and the coffee (or tea if you prefer) was offered frequently. I had visited the salon with another deal purchaser and they like me were more than satisfied with the results. I had highlights while my companion had a colour and both treatments looked great. The cut given was not a slight trim like you get in some salons but a real cut that meant you could have as much or as little removed and styled to how you wanted. The shop not only does hairdressing but also offers massages, acupuncture and much, much more but you are not pushed into trying anything, which I know I would be in other places. However, we were so impressed with the service that we booked another appointment immediately and I am taking advantage of a deal that offers a massage as well as having my hair done and I can't wait! Oh and on the web certain people have left horrible comments about this place, but then staff who are let go will often do such things I can categorically say that I have absolutely no connection to this place, I simply bought a deal and tried it out before the deal expired and was impressed with the results But then I would never hide behind the anonymity of the net in order to defame a business. I guess this is perhaps due to the fact that I have scruples and therefore always try to give a fair and pragmatic opinion of places I have been to in order for others to have an unbiased opinion which hopefully they may use in order to gain greater knowledge before they visit a place. They specialise in Women's cuts, so guys.. don't go in here unless you want to come out looking like posh spice! Which I guess some guys do! They offer cut and finish, high and low lights, full colours, blow dries, trims, and everything else you can expect a stylish hair salon to offer. They have a range of prices, starting at junior stylist and leading up to director and they ate very popular locally. But to me they are middle of the road, a few friends used to get their hair cut here and I never saw anything special. There is a lot of local competition too, with Jumi and Andrew Collinge based just down the road, as well as a host of others!

I had my appointment with Natalie, who took the time to thoroughly understand what my wants and needs were when it came to my colour and style. There was no rush she took extra time to go through pictures with me until we found the perfect do! I am especially hard to please, I get an image in my head of how I want my hair and I always feel disappointed when it turns out nothing like I asked for. The staff are very friendly, it's pretty cheap for hairdressers these days, about £25 for cut & blow. They do all the usual hairdresser stuff, nails, waxing, spray tans etc.
