We did a multi generational shoot this past Saturday and the patience Chao exhibited was that of a saint. His energy levels put a toddler's to shame and he will not give up until he has found a way to capture the image he is seeking perfectly. We were a tough group- a grandma with a tin meniscus and broken elbow, a grandpa with mild cognitive impairment, a surly teen who did not want to be at a studio, and a crazy toddler who didn't want to sit still. Plus my husband and me ( who pestered him incessantly about wanting to not look so fat lol) . Chao still managed to get 98 spectacular shots that I had emailed to me by 7 pm the following day. Unreal. Sometimes I think there is a ridiculous misconception that this is an "Asian" wedding studio. Sure, the owners are Taiwanese BUT perfect English is spoken AND they have shot events at every amazing venue for every ethnicity all over the tri state area- check out the stunning photos on their website! Gorgeous. And I won't even begin to tell you how reasonable the pricing is. It has to be heard to be believed. We've used other studios in the past who have charged three times as much for a fraction of the photos. And the photographers have not been anywhere near as accommodating. I'd give them TEN stars if I could!

Working with Katherine was wonderful! We had really admired her work through Instagram and she was…read moreextremely friendly and proactive from the beginning. We wanted a photographer who was very familiar with civil ceremonies at City Hall and was able to capture the day in a classic and genuine way to capture the joy of the big day. Katherine sent frequent emails with updates and tips on how to prep for the day and we had a preliminary call where we were able to make a schedule and plan out the day since we also had a wedding photoshoot afterwards in Golden Gate Park afterwards. During the day of, Katherine was on-time, flexible with when the other people in our group arrived, and guided us through the whole morning with when to check in, where to take photos, etc. She gave us some prompts of how to pose but overall she let us be natural and encouraged to be comfortable in front of the camera. The ceremony was captured beautifully by her and she took great group photos. We then went to Golden Gate Park, and she helped us take some cute coffeeshop and park photos, even with some bonus tennis court and piano pics (two of our favorite hobbies!). After the day, we received a sneak peek very promptly with an awesome of photos (~100 of them!) and a huge full gallery in about a month with lots of gorgeous film photos. There was a huge heat wave that weekend in San Francisco, and Katherine made the whole experience so pleasant and working with her felt like working with an old friend. She's definitely laid back and makes you feel comfortable. We were shooting in Central Park on a really cold cold COLD 39 degree weather day and although at times we were uncomfortable, because it was so cold, you couldn't tell in the pictures.
