I proposed to my fiancee this past Christmas season in NYC, in front of the Rockefeller tree. Even nine months later, I am still so appreciative that we had Laura as our photographer to capture the moment. From my first phone call with her a few weeks before the big day, she helped craft a plan with me to find the best time/place at Rockefeller Center to pop the question. I especially appreciated Laura's prompt communication -- she stayed in touch throughout the day of the proposal, which was a huge help to calm the nerves! The crowds were insanely large at the tree that night, but Laura was an expert at setting up a discreet meeting point and finding us within the crowd. She somehow managed to follow behind us as we navigated through the sea of people, texting me as we went to make sure we hadn't lost each other. I was so thankful she knew how to handle the situation and was able to assert herself within the crowd so that she could snap a picture at the perfect spot. Laura is a phenomenal photographer, communicator, and editor. I found her through Yelp and asked if she can take photos of a surprise proposal, in Central Park, with the San Remo Tower as the backdrop. She promptly said yes and we discussed where we would be located via Google maps and went from there. As you're most likely aware, Central Park is huge - so I was anxious that we wouldn't time it correctly or not be in the right location, but Laura got there early and also notified me that she be in a slightly different location (there were people in our original meet-up spot). She took many great shots while I proposed and also took us around Central Park to take additional photos. I was expecting a few still shots in a few different areas, but she must've taken us to 7-10 different areas and took many photos. Laura had great ideas for our poses, while doing it in a fun, relaxed way. She sent us over 100 photos with edits to over 10 of them. I can assure you that the photos I posted had people in the background, which Laura magically made disappear. We couldn't be happier with the way our photos came out. SHAME ON ME for never writing Laura a review. She is amazing. In December 2019 I proposed to my fiancee and Laura worked with me at the absolute last second (my fault, not hers) to pull off the secret proposal. My plan was to propose on the roof at the top of the rock in the middle of Christmas season which looking back was utterly insane. Laura quoted me a very fair price and showed up early. Since this was a surprise she couldn't outright introduce herself so, I was basically trusting a stranger, who I had a brief conversation with on the phone, to help execute and document the most important moment of my life. Laura and I communicated as we made our way through the Top of the Rock lines, security checks, forced photos from the staff that they charge way too much for etc. I also didn't make it easy. I sprinted ahead of the line at one point, decided at the last second I was going to the absolute top of the roof, made a random beeline to the bathroom and all of this was happening as Laura scurried behind in the background, keeping tabs on me, communicating like an undercover agent. Once the big moment happened Laura quickly cleared surrounding strangers out of the way so she could snap photos. They were perfect with the empire state building in the background. I'm honestly not even sure I said "will you marry me?" because I was so absurdly nervous, but to everyone's surprise (even Laura's) my partner did in fact say yes. I remember Laura saying "Wow, she's really out of your league, huh? Good work!" Just kidding, she never said that. After the proposal, Laura snapped additional pictures throughout top of the rock and I had some friends waiting to surprise my fiancee after and she snapped some more photos of that too - which was definitely done via her own generosity/not included in the price. Overall, Laura was awesome, the pictures came out great, she was extremely accommodating and in a particularly high stakes moment for me was very calm, grounded and executed perfectly. 5 stars, no question. read more

I hired Laura for a surprise engagement and she was amazing!
