Dr. Tonsing is a horrible doctor. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST HIM!!! He diagnosed me with an illness I found out later I didn't even have and gave me medication for years which I didn't know at the time I didn't need. THIS IS MEDICAL MALPRACTICE. Besides this, while on the medication I had a seizure. This led to me almost falling down stairs but some kind citizen caught me. And luckily an EMT was there and helped me too. I've never had a seizure in my life before or after this incident occurred either. When I told Dr. Tonsing about my fall, he still wouldn't let me stop taking the medicine so he sent me to be evaluated by another doctor he referred me to. This doctor told me to immediately stop taking the medication. So I did and never took it again. Now I feel better than ever. He could have caused me to die, get injured or have another problem for life! I trusted Dr. Tonsing and he severely abused my trust. He treated me like a trouble maker for years and lied and manipulated me and my situation to make me look like a bad person which anyone who knows me knows I'm not in any way a bad person. I think he did this because he doesn't want to change his ways and become a better person. I told him about how my mother abused me when I first met him and he immediately became angry and verbally attacked me when he didn't even know anything about my situation. He increased my medication for no good reason when I later found out he shouldn't have done so at all (This was right before the fall down the stairs I talked about above). He did all kinds of horrible things to me and my life which I can go on and on about for a long time. He seems extremely nice but he has a dark side he lets out whenever he feels like it. Besides this, I thought Mary the receptionist was nice except I later noticed she saw him verbally attacking me and never did anything about it. So this is how I know she knows he's abusive but doesn't tell on him. DON'T TRUST DR. TONSING AT ALL FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. PLEASE GET A SECOND AND THIRD OPINION FROM SOMEONE ELSE WHO'S NOT ASSOCIATED WITH HIM. I FEEL SORRY FOR ANYONE WHO'S STUCK WITH THIS EXTREMELY NEGATIVE AND SADLY PATHETIC SO-CALLED DOCTOR.:-( He doesn't care about people because he's mentally ill himself. Am in desperate need for help for my 5 year old. He was exposed to pain killers, alcohol and tobacco by birth mother. Was told by Children's Hospital, Denver to, among other things, have him evaluated for Medication. Dr. Tonising's receptionist was very kind and took our information and returned our call stating that Dr. Tonsing didn't understand what Children's wanted from him and why "they" weren't helping us. Children's was doing us a favor by referring us to a local doctor instead of forcing us to travel to Denver on a regular basis. He was not helpful and never did agree to see our son. My son needs help, we need help and we got nothing from him. I was really looking forward to meeting him as I've heard amazing things about him, he came highly recommended from other professionals in his field. Sad experience. read more
